other things on my mind

1. How come my hair is still in good condition after dying regularly once a month?
2. How am I going to survive the cold in Sweden?
3. How come I am still certain I'm going to Sweden when INSTEP refuses to reply me? In my mind, I don't really have that nudging feeling that I'm not going. Is that a good sign?
4. Why am I constantly shopping and why is the bank account not depleted? Everytime the bank account gets under 200, pay will be in/grandmother will be here/allowance will be in/angbaos/grandfather will be here. HOW TO STOP MY ADDICTION YOU TELL ME.
5. Yes, I want to go for liposuction.
6. My room is a pig sty. Must clean. Soon.
7. I really do miss him sometimes. Even after 2 years. They said if you don't miss someone after a break-up means you don't really put your all into the relationship. Guess I did put my all. :)
8. I'M NOT STUDYING, I'M SO SCREWED. GOODNESS ME.

the decision

It's always nice to have someone in your mind. Even if that someone is somewhat too challenging for a mediocre individual like me.

Which is the reason why I'm going zen again. After a year of silent admiration and a few months of divulging the fixation to some close friends, I have decided to throw away this unrealistic liking. Better now than when I fall deeper into something really obsessive. That would be terrible.

This reminds me of my adolescent lower secondary school days, when I got so obsessed with the then Head-Prefect. The mistake was letting my entire class know about my infatuation, which then led to the entire level knowing, and then I presume the Head Prefect's entire class. It was a good year, since everyone teased me and girls like to be teased despite whatever else they say. Then on the last day of secondary two, this very kind Head-Prefect decided to show some affection to his girlfriend in front of me, because things got somewhat out of control. His girlfriend was my favourite choir senior, funny how things work.

I went home and cried my heart out. I wrote an entire blogpost on it, and that got his attention. He apologised for his behaviour (I didn't elaborate on what he did so don't wonder why he apologised) and that's the end of it.

He's now still with his girlfriend, and a more mature me actually think they match each other more than ever.

Now...

How come only those privileged few can find their life partners in secondary school?

And what's with my fixation for Head-Prefects? HA.

But I do miss good ol' times though. Since it's more than two years since the break-up, it's okay for me to say such things. (For those lost, this is a completely new discussion. HAHA) I still remember Valentine's Day of 2008 when he came all the way to AJC to pass me my present. :) Good ol' times indeed.

He's now retaking his A Levels and so good luck for everything! :)

I feel so mature. Must be being 21. heehee.

Lashes and ASOS haul! :)

It has been a tough week, since the recess week is over and what greets us at the end is the final examination. I'm still so clueless about everything, so much so that it's frightening me. Number one thing to be most worried about is hh211; I have no idea how to study for it.

And the fuck-up with the Swedish university is really annoying me but I'm choosing to not bother about it now.

Let's get on with the haul!

I bought A LOT of false eyelashes just because I want to add them to my collection and for future freelance uses. Figured that Asian girls need eyelashes after all, and with such long lashes, they look so much nicer in photoshoots.

These were from sg_beauty. I also purchased the famous DUO eyelash adhesive, which is supposedly the strongest adhesive there is, and surprisingly one of the mildest hence really good for the sensitive eye skin.

I'm getting a shu uemura eyelash glue too later (meeting up!) and I got that one cheap at 11 bucks. hee. Shall do a comparison soon! :)

The following were all from Ebay, and they were extremely cheap. All were priced differently due to the different designs. The prices ranged between 5.80 to 7.80 for a box of 10 lashes.

Got a really good deal from sg_beauty. All these were for 12 bucks. The face mask was thrown in as a freebie. No swatches this time because I got lazy. HAHA.

But I got all the neutral colours since I have enough bright colours already.

ASOS HAUL! HOORAH!

Buying from ASOS was a breeze, shipping was goddamn fast (1 week or so), and clothes' qualities were too good to be true since they were so cheap! :)

Love love love this floral dress! :) Such a cheery coral colour!

Another awesome dress. It was 8 pounds and I was really surprised that it came lined. And the straps are adjustable! Such an awesome deal.

A more formal dress for 12 pounds. It fits me really really well and I really like the silhouette. The A-line skirt made my legs seem magically skinny. HEEHEE. Tad short though, so leggings are a must! (I don't wanna be miss-skanky-slutty-whore you know, yes we all know who this is. heehee.)

Another comfortable top. I bought it a size too big BUT it was still awesome. The front is viscose while the back is cotton! Very fitting for Singapore's crazy crazy weather. This was 6 pounds I believe.

And a skater skirt for 7 pounds! :)

I'm so happy with my purchases that I'm getting a second order! :) This time miss chanhuiling is ordering! HOORAH! :)

Fixing the problem right away.

Huiling and I are embarking on a lose-weight programme.

Current rules:

1. No more soft drinks.
2. Bubble tea will replace a meal. (I shall try on a bubble tea ban though)
3. 2-3 servings of fruits everyday. (making full use of wkwsci's vending machine)
4. Sleep earlier, at least 6-8 hours of sleep everyday.
5. Cut carbohydrate intake by half, even whole wheat stuff.

These rules apply to me only because I don't stay in hall and I have a gym to go to:

1. Walk on the spot everyday for 1 hour. Especially when I'm watching TV.
2. On top of that, jog for 45 minutes once every 2 days.

Let's see whether all this will work or not. All will start after Tuesday, since I'm going to FIKA to celebrate kok's birthday. LOL. Something like the last indulgent meal.

sad situation

This is a society that hates fat people. Even larger-than-normal people are not excluded from the equation.

It's always like this.

I don't think I'm fat, but the way I'm treated and the way people skinnier than me are treated make me feel like a huge whale.

Oh. Let's add not-so-pretty to that equation. Because there are gorgeous fat people, like all the plus size models (goodness gracious me, why are they called plus-sized?)

So when you are not-so-pretty and not-so-skinny, your life is in danger.

Then people will try to bash me up and say why am I caring what others say and whatnots, and that I should just live my own life and don't give them a fuck. My response to that will be halo, are you a human being with feelings? If yes, such things WILL BOTHER YOU. If you have never felt insecure because of someone else's scrutiny, THEN YOU ARE EITHER NOT HUMAN OR LYING.

So comments like that are superfluous and don't even try to say those futile words.

Then again, I have tried to change the situation; obviously not working.

I just hope someone will understand better. All I can do now is to rely on beer to alleviate some of the bad vibes.

Cannot wait for this drama to be out because JoKwon and Gain are acting in it. Not as lovers though, as twins instead. So full of incestuous feeling but anything with JoKwon should be fine. HEEHEE.

COLLECTIVE HAUL PART 2

This is the 2nd part to my collective haul. Part 1 is just right after this post! :)

Mostly cosmetics that I accumulated over the many many weeks.

5 new lipsticks. 3 from Stage and 2 from nyx.

I like how the stage lipsticks are so moisturising on the lips. And the colours are not the jarring kind, so they are all awesome everyday colours. The nyx lipsticks are more extreme though. They are both on the blacker side and these lipsticks are bought for photoshoot/freelance purposes. :)

I got myself an awesome deal from sg_beauty. All these items for 10 bucks!

Maybelline blusher and mark eyeshadow.

I'm a huge fan of the blusher since the colour is so wearable, but the eyeshadow is just alright for me. Good for lining the lower lid but rather rubbish for smokey eye effect.

Rimmel eyeshadow.

I'm so disappointed with this product. The swatches below were swatched after i vigorously tried to get some colour of the product. The pigmentations are utter rubbish! The white is a good highlight colour though.

I'm always on the lookout for L.A. Colors palettes because they have pigmented eyeshadows with a downplay on the shimmers; more on the metallic side I think.

These colours are really colours for the spring season! Red is really bad for Asian skin but I guess mixing it up with black will be a good solution. Everything with black is awesome.

COLLECTIVE HAUL PART 1

Nothing beats blogging about random hauls after 2 vomit-inducing midterms. 257 midterm had answers so simple to choose from that it was also so easy to make careless mistakes (i have made a few already. hohum) 207 midterm was much better because things that I studied came out, and things that I ignored didn't, so that itself was already a relief. Sly Dr. D.

I went out with Yinghui today! :) Such a spontaneous decision. But I need to fatten her up! She has become so much thinner after her dengue fever stint. In the process, I also sacrificed myself by eating as much as she is eating. At the rate I'm going, I may come back a potato when recess week is over.

This is collective haul part 1, which is mainly the apparel and accessories part. Cosmetic haul will be in part 2! :)

I bought this moroccan-military style blazer for 20 bucks at Newlook. It was previously 109.90. Utter siaoness. I cannot wait to wear it!

I got the following 2 for 50 bucks online. Have yet to wear them out yet though. First thing to do is to iron them! (procrastination is a bitch)

HEEHEE. Hello Kitty pullover for 24 bucks. I bought this to spite huiying since she loves Hello Kitty so much, but in the end I think I'm in love with this pullover. So comfy and so spacious. There are times when I just sleep in this. :)

The following 2 were 15 bucks each from Bugis Street. Bugis Street is a really a must-go for shopaholics. I'm intending to go there once every 2-3 months, so that I can see new styles there. They sell blogshop stuff, BUT AT A OHSOMUCH CHEAPER RATE!

Cotton on shirt for 10 bucks. I got myself a pair of polka-dot shorts for 10 bucks and also a black skirt for 24.95 from cotton on.

New shoes! I can't remember how much this pair was retailing for. 15-20 bucks I guess? Bought it from Bugis Street also! It's a very queer pair of footwear, but I just love the quirkiness. This and something polka-dotted will go so well together!

A pair of sandals from Cotton On. I regret buying this colour because it clashes with everything that I wear, but I guess that means I have to get more black apparels. Heeee, more excuses to shop.

Pardon the ugly toenails. I knocked both on the door at 2 separate occasions. :(

A pair of sneakers from Cotton On once again. (I think I can be the brand's ambassador) Will look damn gungho with a pair of blinged top and boyfriend jeans.

Leopard print wedges. LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE. it was 30 bucks only. DAMN AWESOME. :)

Bag from Bugis Street. If I can remember correctly, I think it was 22.50. Hmm. I'm on the fence about this bag because of how cumbersome it is. But still chio, so I don't really care lar.

I got myself more earrings from gmarket! 9 pairs for 10-11 bucks including shipping and the white pair is free and it's so fugly that I threw them away. =/
