haul post + OOTD (specially for chay. haha)

HAUL POST!

I shopped only once a month, so I don't feel guilty!

And hor, I only look at sale items. HAHAHAHAHA. More excuses to shop! :)

The first few photos are for gohchaychay, because I want to show her that I got some awesome deals and I didn't get flamboyant ones! :)

The 3 pants were 22oSEK or in total 44 bucks. YUMMY PRICES.

The first one is kind of a downplayed harem pants. My butt looked like a balloon with this but I DON'T CARE. Cheap price + good quality = Balloon butt every once in a while!

Wa this one damn awesome. And guess what, I WENT DOWN A SIZE. WOOHOO.

The cutting was so good I bought it in 2 colours! Khaki-taupe and Black!

I also got this shirt from the same store (MONKI) for 40 sek = 8 bucks. WOOHOO. It's like a simple black tee at the front, with major details at the back. yay.

From H&M for 20 bucks!

I can even wear this in Singapore! :)

There's a new supermarket in Kista and the prices were mad cheap, which was why crowd control was needed because PEOPLE ARE CRAZY ABOUT CHEAP FOOD HERE.

I got these 2 for 25 sek or 5 bucks. The LUX is 750ml! Can use until I go back Singapore. HAHA.

Several outfits-of-the-day!

I have decided to dress more nicely, since my face is chui, the least I can do is to look nice. HAHA.

And off I go to complete my assignments. Bummer.

GOHCHAYCHAY THIS IS FOR YOU.

Reflections

Always ask the entire group if you are doing something.

Entire group: people who are together with you in this strange cold country.

Not troublesome at all, it's basic courtesy.

PART 2 OF MAJOR SLOTHNESS.

This is part 2 of the result of my laziness to update this blog. PART 1: Copenhagen is just after this post! :)

After our Copenhagen trip, we ventured into the land of frostbite, Kiruna, and we barely had a week of rest in between.

Kiruna was major scary because temperatures dipped as low as -41 on the day we arrived and it always felt like as if you didn't layer enough clothes!

Nevertheless it was once-in-a-lifetime!

We took the train to Kiruna - an arduous 16-hour journey. Bad choice, but ohwell, no use regretting now.

View outside of the window when the sun rose in the morning. It was after 11 hours or something.

When we were about to reach Kiruna, all of us frantically layered up and we just became terrorists lookalikes. HAHA.

DOG-SLEDDING! WOOHOOO. It was just like being on a roller coaster, without any straps on. Major adrenaline rush, especially when the COLD COLD wind was constantly slapped on your face.

We looked like balls! HAHA.

NORTHERN LIGHTS.

Such a downer.

I conclude that all photos of Northern Lights that I see on Google are highly photoshopped. The lights looked nicer on camera than on its own. :(

Breakfast! We had to buy our own groceries though. Bummer.

SNOW MOBILES! WOOHOO! Another tick on the checklist.

All 7 of us bravely decided to get the single snow mobiles even thought all of us had no experience.

Proved to be a bad decision for me because...

I GOT FREAKING LOST!!

We were supposed to be going to the Ice Hotel on our snow mobiles. We started from beginner speed, and when we were nearing the location, all of us sped up. The problem then started because all of a sudden there were 2 groups of people in front of me. And so, erm, I followed the wrong group. In less than a minute after turning right, I found myself all alone in this stupid frozen lake.

Yes, all alone, with nobody behind me and noone infront of me. Which is kind of ridiculous, because I was in the middle of the pack, and THERE SHOULD BE PEOPLE FOLLOWING ME IF I WERE LOST RIGHT? Super weird.

So I just went straight, still thinking I was on the right track. Then I turned to a residential area, and deng! that was the period that hit me, telling me I was fucking lost.

My instinct told me to just u-turn and find the behind of the pack. So I u-turned, AND THE STUPID SNOW MOBILE GOT STUCK IN ONE-METRE DEEP OF SNOW. I had to drag myself out of that snow, and I had to walk out by foot because the snow mobile was really stuck and I couldn't get it out myself.

So I was lost, without a snow mobile, on a foreign place, WITH NO MODE OF COMMUNICATION (stupid me forgot to bring out my handphone). I just walked out of the residential area and stood on the frozen lake, waiting for the instructors to come and save me.

I guess I wasn't that scared because I didn't even cry, which surprised myself. What I thought was that even if no one came for me, at least I was at a residential area with nice Swedish people *cue Human Centipede trailer*.

And then 20 minutes later, one of the instructors finally came on his snow mobile and yes things were good after that. THANK GOODNESS.

Quite an experience though. HAHA. I can tell people that I got lost on a frozen lake now.

ICE HOTEL NEXT.

Our dinner for the night. YUMMY.

Second attempt at spotting Northern Lights. Major fail because this stupid one came out for 30 seconds and disappeared after that. :(

Spent some time walking around our cottage before we headed to the train station to go back to civilisation.

:)

We went back to Stockholm by train too, but this time we were on Sleeper Cabins, which were MAJOR COOL. Initially when we go in, there were just two couches with two beds near the ceiling. THEN THE MAGIC HAPPENED, and i don't know how the Spanish cabinmates did it, but they turned the couches to 4 more beds AND ALL OF US NOW HAD BEDS! :)

ok post will end abruptly here because I'm tired and I need sleep.

CIAO.

Mega post since I disappeared PART 1

The responsibility just beckons. I need to update this blog more often because I have a duty to fulfill.

I tell myself that everyday and I procrastinate even more. And so I'm now super late on everything and I have to try to recall on every single thing that happened during the period that I was lazy.

This post shall be mainly about my Copenhagen trip! :)

More photos will be available on my facebook!

Here are the links to both albums:

Before I talk about my rather eye-opener trip to Copenhagen, I shall mention a wee bit about Valentine's Day. I originally thought V-Day this year was going to be boring and stuff. Then Emery tweeted me saying how about we bake some awesome cookies! I have baked cookies before (circa Sec 3 for that stupid citibank YFC) and I was very very lonely in my cold room, so I ran to Emery's pantry in my toms.

The cookies were a huge success partly because Emery's recipe was yummy yummy good.

So the guys love them! Wilson's not in the photo but we gave him a packet too! :)

Yay to yummy nutella cookies! :)

HOORAH to us both!

Next is my haul from Copenhagen.

I can't resist shopping in Copenhagen because we visited a factory outlet, and things were mother cheap. Even the Urban Outfitter in Copenhagen had nice stuff on sale!

First, I got this printed trousers from Urban Outfitters for I think less than 25 bucks. The prints are less subtle and can only be seen in sunlight and flash photography. I not that rara okay.

Then, there was this store (can't remember the name) that was having major sales. I could have bought more, but luckily I stopped at this cardigan only. It was 80 Danish kroners, or around 20 bucks.

Best purchase of the trip: MNG Denim Leather Jacket for 20 bucks! YES!

Photoblogging on full steam now!

We went to Christiania twice! It's a territory that's isolated from the rest of Copenhagen and they have their own rules and they refuse to be part of the European Union, hence we were greeted with this when we left...

Graffiti in Copenhagen is BIG. And some of them are really awesome. Especially those in Christiania. I wonder if the legal weed sniffing has anything to do with the talent. HAHA. Yeah, weed is sold and purchased openly in Christiania!

Got this from the Danish Museum of Art and Design. HAHA.

Scenery shots from Copenhagen.

From outside of the Carlsberg Factory.

We saw horses! :) They were so still! Like as if they were on weed or something. Only when they were about to eat, then they moved. Hmm.

Night scene in Copenhagen. I hate myself for not taking more. I need to learn how to take clear night scene photos using my G11!

Copenhagen is also the birthplace of Hans Christien Andersens! We went to his museum and were rather excited to see his stories like The Ugly Duckling, Thumbelina and The Little Mermaid. The museum was crappy though because it cost so much!

It's also the land of TIVOLI! Tivoli is a really really old amusement park and word has it that Disneyland was modeled after it! We were rather unfortunate though because it was closed for the winter. Major bummer.

Nope, this is not a joke. Not even airbrush tattoo.

REAL TATTOOS FOR FREE. (The angmoh is handsome. HAHA.)

On the shopping street of Storget, there were a lot of buskers, and they were good.

And we had afternoon tea! :)
Dainty little stuff making me feel so lady-like.

THE BOTTLE BOYS! Major awesome buskers. Everyone watching just had to give some money.

The Little Mermaid!

Trains in Copenhagen are major cool. Some of them are highly graffiti-ed by artists. You can bring bicycles, dogs and other animals in. You have a quiet zone, which is seriously really quiet. And the seats are HUGE.

Our hostel room in Sleep in Heaven. Very nice hostel, well-worth the money!

More graffiti around our hostel.

Outfit I wore for the flight to Copenhagen.

And no, this does not work. The ice-cream inside was all melted. EEYER.
