Lemming: Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liners

After watching pursebuzz's youtube video on these babies (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aXk0V7Oxe0&feature=feedu), I'm highly convinced that I need them in my life.

Need. Not want.

I obviously can't deal with the red liquid liner (Woodstock), but Perversion and Retrograde are to-die-for colours!

The brush is so tiny too!

When will money fall from the sky? When will money grow on trees? When will I find money under my pillow for no good reason? When will someone accidentally IB money into my bank account?

I NEED THEM!

VIVI Japan September 2011 Issue

Some of my favourite looks from the magazine! I can't believe how much VIVI has grown! It used to be just another Japanese fashion magazine that focuses on skimpy clothes and too-tanned looks, but ohwow! Now VIVI is AWESOME! :)

Flatforms are all-over this issue!

Colour-blocking still survives! and the socks with oxfords trend is definitely growing on me.

My next shoe purchase will be these! Gotta hunt down those cheap inspired pairs!

I just watched Episode 4 of Project Runway America Season 9 and in that episode, the designers had to design a day-to-night outfit for Nina Garcia (the horror, I know) and she gasped in horror when a designer presented metallic mustard fabric to her. I actually gasped in horror when Nina Garcia gasped in horror. What's wrong with mustard?!

I'm definitely liking the mustard additions to outfits! Everything looks so vintage-y and old school just through this addition of colour!

Everything about this look is love. High-waist wide-legged pants are extremely forgiving on women with pear-shaped bodies or women with dangerous curves. I am inspired to wear my wide-legged pants to school! :)

The top really caught my eye. Leather instantly gives an outfit that touch of rock appeal, no matter how dainty the bottom is!

At first, I was pulled in by the brown leather detail of the top that she's wearing, but...

... I noticed that her hair is mad gorgeous! How I wish I had a small face like this model. LE SIGH.

Colourful prints are very \O/ \O/!

Extremely expensive-looking. I think the trend started when Burberry pulled out trenchcoats with black leather sleeves. The look is one that I will like to emulate but cannot because of the blasting Singapore weather. BOO.

Shall be reading happie nuts September 2011 issue next! :)

Beauty VIVI 2011

I think Beauty VIVI is like an extra supplement that comes with the VIVI September 2011 issue. Please do correct me if I'm wrong.

Seems like VIVI is very much obsessed with Caucasian-looking models/exotic-looking models.
Though I have to agree that a lot of Japanese girls treat VIVI like a fashion and beauty bible and hence many of them look like Caucasian wannabes. I'm not loathing this however because all of them look immensely gorgeous with their overly-bleached hair. So I'm not complaining! :)

I wonder how will this look on me. A generous amount of eyeshadow neatly applied under on the lower eyelid, applying it lower than conventional. It's worth a try!

Rather perplexed at how Rimmel is so different in Japan! The eyeshadow quads look like they were from Kanebo or Kate or Laschuva or those Japanese brands!

And the four quads look so similar to each other, much like what canmake did previously with the neutral quads. Hating this trend, why bring out 4 highly similar quads and forcefully insist that they are different and hence cheat our money?!

Ayumi Hamasaki looking gorgeous, as always.

Selling: Forever 21 Nautical Shorts

I recently bought this pair of shorts online and I am quite distraught by the fact that the measurements are extremely off.

So here are the shorts!

I bought L, which should fit me (normally UK12 for bottoms), but it is too tight for my liking. It will be a perfect fit for UK8-10 in my opinion.

Take note that it's meant to be worn high-waisted!

Here are the actual photos of the shorts! I used iPhone to take these photos, so I do apologise for the lighting atrocity.

I will be selling it for S$15 with meet-up! No mailing for now!

Meet-ups can be done anywhere in the West, preferably in NTU/Boon Lay MRT/Pioneer MRT/Clementi MRT/Bukit Batok MRT/anywhere else just email me and I will get back to you ASAP.

Payment can be made through bank transfer or cash on delivery!

Any questions just drop me an email at fitrinalim@gmail.com !

I really like this pair shorts but since it's too tight, I will let it go cheap cheap to someone who will fit it better! :)

Review: Sleek Pout Polish in Electric Peach

Huiling recently did a callout to people who wanted to join a Sleek Makeup spree and I jumped at the chance because I wanted to try Sleek stuff other than their eyeshadow palettes.

I ordered the blush in PanTao and Rose Gold as well, but sadly both were out of stock apparently, or the spree-er forgot about my order, OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. In conclusion, I only received one Sleek item, which is the Pout Polish in Electric Peach.

The Pout Polish is currently available on the site in these 11 colours:

Bonaire (limited edition, I think. It's a straightforward orange.)
Raspbery Rhapsody (Deep fluorescent purple)
Frosting (Baby pink, very powder-ish colour)
Peach Perfection (Light coral, just like a cup of tomato milkshake)
Electro Peach (striking fluorescent orange)
Monte Carlo (limited edition, I think. A deep plum colour)
Pink Cadillac (full blown fluorescent pink)
Chocolate Kiss (well.. it's milk chocolate in colour. Very aptly named)
Perfect Plum (a deep reddish-plum colour, maroon-ish under certain lights)
Powder Pink (the perfect Barbie pink colour)
Scandal (a taupey red colour, somehow it looks like the colour that every office lady will love)

Here is a product photo that I grabbed from the website!

When I chose which colour to purchase, I decided not to be save and buy the expected and usual pinks; I wanted an adventure, so I chose Electric Peach.

When I received it, I admit I was a little bit intimidated by the brightness of the Pout Polish.

It is VERY BRIGHT. BLINDINGLY BRIGHT. I was so scared that I will look like a clown after application.

Being the very confused person that I am, I was still extremely enticed by this explosion of brightness. I love bright colours and it makes me happy seeing them!

Under flash, it even looks like highlighter orange! Such a difficult colour to pull off? NOPE NOT AT ALL!

Sleek Pout Polish is a tinted lip conditioner, hence it is not as pigmented as a normal lipstick.

After one swipe on my hand, the colour did not look as intimidating as before. It looks extremely wearable!

With flash.

After blending, under flash.

After blending, the colour faded further into a reasonably wearable light orange tint. It gives that very little hint of colour that brightens up your face, and I love the pout polish because of this factor.

Moreover, it is extremely moisturising for the lips! Always good to have a lip balm around! Men, and other women, do love a smooth, supple lip. WHO LOVES CRACKED LIPS? NO ONE.

You can control the glossiness factor easily by applying more than one layer for extreme glossy and wet look, or just stick to one swipe for a nourishing boost complete with an additional burst of colour.

One negative thing though, the pout polish can get a little dry after a good 2 hours or so, so be sure to diligently touch it up because when it dries up, your lips can get a little bit cracked as well. (No idea why, it just happened to me and I was bewildered)

I am now so enticed to get all the other colours!! :D
