a fresh change

Back to darker colours. Having blonde hair is good for intimidating ginas who think i'm a chao ahlian and hence don't dare to cross paths with me.

It's good in that way - I don't need to give way to xiaodidis and xiaomeimeis when I'm walking.

But i should stop being a pseudo-ahlian.

No man will marry me if i continue being a blonde. Back to basics indeed.

HAHA.

I'm so bored from studying. aiyoh.

dark times

I just wish people will understand.

No idea why the tears just flow. No good reason also.

Just a little bit too sick of an independent lifestyle.

Ok. One more RedBull.

Major update for the hungry.

I feel so relieved right now. With all the projects and assignments finally done, I can fully concentrate on studying. 21st december seems so far away, but I know exam periods always zoom past, so I can't wait for the end of exams now!

I guess this will be the last serious hauling entry till after 21st! :)) And I have made this last post extremely meaningful in terms of quantity! HAHA.

First up (MOST EXCITED), I finally spent my sephora vouchers. This palette will be courtesy of Ivan and Sarah since they gave me the vouchers for my birthday. SO THANK YOU BOTH FOR MAKING MY DAY! :))

I FINALLY GOT MYSELF THE URBAN DECAY BOOK OF SHADOWS VOL. III! HOORAH!

I wanted to get the Naked Palette, but it was HARDCORE SOLD-OUT. So I figured the next best thing to get will be this. I was contemplating between this and the Black Palette, but the latter is to gothic for my liking, so YAY. (BTW, I'm planning to get the Naked Palette overseas. SO HOORAH ONCE AGAIN.)

Very chio box. Definitely will take this to Sweden.

The very awesomely designed cover. This section lights up! The flash is rather stupidly used here because I can't even show you guys the chio lights. BUMMER. But ohwell, this pop-up design is so chic. The other 2 palettes also have these kind of pop-up thingies, but this is the best pop-up EVER.

It came with 16 eyeshadows, 2 eyeliners (Zero and Ransom) and a mini eye primer potion.

The eyeliners are amazing. It's my first time using the 24/7 eyeliners and I'm hooked. I'm definitely going to get a full-size one when I run out. The only problem will be that the purple eyeliner (Ransom) has light pigmentation. It's only suitable for lining the lower eyelids.

I always have a love-hate relationship with Urban Decay eyeshadows. The matte and the frost eyeshadows are fine and fabulous. But I really do not understand the shimmery eyeshadows. They are so glittery! So much so that I can even feel the glitter particles! This is rather dangerous for contact lens wearers because the glitter particles are bound to accidentally drop into the eye and then itchiness and then more problems.

I usually avoid them. In this palette there are 3 such colours. CHANGE THE FORMATION, URBAN DECAY!

The rest were fabulous. :)

Swatches with flash. First photo is for the first 2 rows of the palette, and the second photo is for the next 2 rows.

Also bought this ZA mascara set off eBay.sg for 10 bucks. I always wanted to try the ZA Wide Eyes Mascara, and they had a free pink curler with it, so why not?

It came with a mini size oil cleanser too. This cleanser reminds me of how much I like the smell of ZA skincare products. Should stock up for Sweden or something.

IN MY TRULY HONEST OPINION, the mascara is rubbish. I bought the one in VIOLET and I see no colour on my lashes at all. The mascara comb looks VERY promising, but when I applied it, the formula was really hard to transfer to my lashes. I don't know whether it's because the mascara has dried up already or not, but application is a nightmare.

The eyelash curler is very chio and works as well as the Shu Uemura curler.

And now, TO THE MOST EXCITING PART OF THIS ENTRY --- My winter haul!

Since I'm leaving for Sweden in 5 weeks' time, I needed to stock up on necessities. As of yesterday, it was -14ºC in Stockholm, and it's not even full-blown winter yet! GOODNESS ME.

My mom was nice enough to go to Korea to get the stuff for me. She paid for everything, because after my Sweden trip, everything will go back to her. Or she thinks that way lar. HEE.

Ear muffler, fuzzy socks, and many many winter hats. I need to get more ear mufflers, maybe a black one? And 2 more fuzzy socks.

OHMY I DIDN'T GET SCARVES!

And a whole lot of clothing.

I got this off Gmarket. The stupid black fur keeps dropping out.

From Gmarket as well. This is awesome.

From Korea. Cannot be worn in Singapore AT ALL, because it's TOO THICK.

This is from Weijie, Jeremy and Ciqin. THANK YOU FOR THE BIRTHDAY PRESENT! I will wear this to sleep everyday!

From Korea, another really thick pullover. Pyjamas-worthy.

Poncho like hoodie. I feel like a hip beggar when I wear this. So so awesome. I CAN FINALLY LOOK LIKE THOSE PEOPLE ON TVS!

And the various winter jackets from Korea!

Light fur vest. Just for accessorizing purposes.

More jackets!

And the mother got me chio leather boots from Korea. It's fucking smelly but it's chio so IT'S FABULOUS.

Such a longwinded post! Gotta head back to the books now and prepare for the exams.

Last wish: I HOPE MY RESIDENCE PERMIT IS ACCEPTED. if I get rejected, then what's the point of buying all these? YES IT MUST GET APPROVED!

Breeding ground

Massive pimple outbreak. Life is painful.

Not much sleep.
Not much healthy food.
Stress.
Pre-Menstrual Syndrome.

All adds up to me being pimply. I have never seen so many bumps between my eyebrows before. My goodness.

And I will definitely go out with loads of concealer, so that doesn't really help the situation. I just hope my period comes now, so I have one less factor contributing to the breeding ground.

Some awesome photos of the past week.

Finally ate Blk 85 Bak Chor Mee. Not that fantastic in my opinion. But I think my anger factored in me thinking this way because the bastard uncle forgot my order and Chay and I waited for more than 30 minutes in vain. How can he forget when I already paid for it?!

Photos from the archaeological dig for hh211. People often remark that the professors all hid the artifacts before the students come so that there's that cheap thrill when you find something. What siol.

FYI these digging grounds are fresh and we students are actually cheap labour to them, or volunteers as they nicely labeled us as. The work is shit tiring, but rather satisfying when you feel the calories burning. Oh, and you don't get to keep anything but credits to your grade.

257 tutorial - less than 10 people attended it. Made me wonder why I attended it in the first place. The class is getting smaller and smaller as the semester progresses.

OOH, Dim Sum feast at Swee Choon. It wasn't as good as the first visit. But I love those Xiao Long Baos! :))

Kenny, oh kenny. Nothing less expected from him.

After 252 presentation. This is Jeremy, and he is the master of everything. Academics or finding weird youtube videos. ALL HE CAN DO.

Major LOL. Huiling looks like some whimpering puppy. HAHAHAHAHAHA. And I look like a siaofierce bitch (pun - female dog, get it get it?)

Suddenly this thought of having fiery red hair came to me. Should I? HMMMMMMMMM.

busybee

Fighting the cold in NLB now. Rushing my hh211 report at the same time. I'm done with my part though, so we just need a few moments before we can proceed to Bedok for some delicious bak chor mee. We - Chay and I.

A week of roller coaster. Nothing beats that description.

Guys shouldn't have so much ego attached to them. Ego is something that brings down a person. Too much ego destroys you.

Like is it that difficult to apologise? I will apologise if the matter's my fault. Obviously this matter's not my fault, any stranger will be able to evaluate that, so don't even bother waiting for my apology.

My close friends out there will know how critical my language and speech are. Even Jo agrees that that's how we all talk what. Goes to show who my close friends are right? Just to further dwell into this, I am only critical to people that deserves my "snarkiness". So what does that say about you?

Problems are problems. Who doesn't have problems. I have a mountainful of them and I ain't being sensitive to every single tweet that I see. I "DARE" to call you sensitive because halo, how are you not?! Talking about rude, your smses were the ultimate of all rudeness.

Bah.

No apology no talk. I shall be with Xi En on this. LORD LUO IS MIGHTY.

They just get shorter and shorter

Hauling's not rampant during these stressful days. I think I'm going to update my blog more for social purposes than for hauling.

But I did get some new stuff this past week.

First, I went to Mustafa Centre with Yinghui after our Dimsum feast and was rather delighted to buy this set of pens for just 8 .60. EXAM PENS!

I also bought some mascaras from CCUK that were recommended by so many beauty bloggers on onsugar. Rather displeased with them though. =.= Luckily they were mad cheap, like 3-5 bucks, so I'm fine with it.

Got myself for edm brushes because THEY ARE SO SOFT! I'm planning to use them when I'm in Sweden! :) Excited already. (Talking about Sweden, I hope they accept my residence permit application, if not I will be a really really sad girl).

Got myself a new pair of wedges too. It was 10 bucks on Ebay! :) Mondo heels and wedges are a hit-or-miss affair. Some are freaking horrendous but there are still some gems lying out there!

A rather short post; quite obliged too because the blog is getting dead and I have to post some photos up.

Off to Chan's house now!

what is all this rubbish

Being in university kills my social life. Actually no, I should say being in a university so indulgent in social media kills my life. Perhaps I shouldn't blame the university but myself.

Back in the days, I don't own a laptop, I don't surf the net 24/7 (because there's no need to), I don't use the computer at all because the one I had last time took ages to start up.

Hence, I was sleeping earlier, I was also studying more consistently and most importantly I was constantly out and about.

Nowadays I just lie down on my bed and watch videos, which is a horrible transition because it's really bad for the tummy! Imagine all the fats accumulating there! And there's no way a university student can do without the internet because we are always doing some project/research and that requires the magical world of the web!

Aiyoh.

I should really limit my internet usage. I'm becoming a couch-potato (the term has since been upgraded because it's now used towards the computer more than the television) and I DON'T WANT TO BE ONE!

And the exams are coming.

Oh Lord help me.

SHALL LIMIT TO 2 EPISODES PER DAY. NO MORE THAN THAT!

asos shades

Finally got my asos order #2 in. Quite happy with the purchases since all of them fit damn well; just bitter that my shorts were out of stock. bummer.

I like the shades that I bought though. Yum to all of them.

This is the first pair. I think I got the wrong colour. White is really a bad colour to get because I'm a heavy foundation user. The foundation on my face will soil the shades! :( Only for days when I feel secure enough to not use foundation. BLAH. But this was 2 pounds only, so cheapo right. :)

This pair is my favourite. Wearing this make my face look so much smaller. Teehee.

The quirky pair. I feel like making a real prescribed glasses out of this pair. :) We see how it goes.

All these shades will come in handy for my exchange! HOORAH! :)

Questions

Why is there so much to worry about?

Why do people take others for granted?

Why is being zen so difficult?
