Back and fat.

Roadtrip is now done and dusted.

In just 12 short days, I conquered 12 cities in 6 countries. More ticks are checked and of course a result of the roadtrip is me being poorer and much fatter. Nothing much you can do about eating greasy food for every meal and then sitting in a car for long hours. I redeemed myself by walking everywhere in a city, with very rare subway rides. Imagine if we have been lazy and taken public transport everywhere, we would have come back as elephants.

For the curious, here are the cities that I have been to in the past 12 days in order:

Munich, Germany
Salzburg, Austria
Vienna, Austria
Bratislava, Slovakia
Budapest, Hungary
Krakow, Poland
Auschwitz, Lesser Poland
Katowice, Poland
Prague, Czech Republic
Dresden, Germany
Berlin, Germany
Hamburg, Germany

My top 3 cities would be Salzburg, Vienna and Budapest.

Auschwitz was MOTHER depressing. I came out of the concentration camp a beaten down person who knows what not to repeat and I learned to appreciate my life more. Maybe the entire Singapore should just have an excursion in Auschwitz, then they will learn to appreciate the pampered life they are blessed with and stop fucking complaining about everything.

I won't go into politics in my blog, so I'm stopping here.

With any travelling, there are SURE to be some shopping done. For me, this trip was quite restrictive because of Ryanair's luggage limit of 10kg. I arrived at Munich (first stop) with 9.4kg worth of clothes already, so HOW CAN I SHOP MUCH?

HENCE I DEVISED A GENIUS PLAN!

I would try to use up as much liquid as possible (read: facial products, shampoo, soap, moisturiser and all that jazz) and shop for accessories and cosmetics ONLY. Clothes can be bulky and if my luggage looks huge, I am sure they will ask me to weigh my bag. And of course, I need to leave my stuff everywhere with everyone else travelling with me.

AND SO I CAME BACK SAFE AND HAPPY.

First up! COSMETICS! :D

I bought these all in Germany because the first day was the most relaxed one and we rushed everywhere after that because of incapability of waking up on time (definitely not me, i'm always first to be ready, given my natural ability to wake up 2 hours before the meeting time to put on my facade).

L'oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara - 6 euros, down from 11.50 euros
Maybelline One by One Volume Express Mascara - 9.99 euros (NEW)
ASTOR Anti Shine Mattitude Powder - 3.99 euros
Manhattan Clearface Powder Pearls - 6 euros I think (so reminiscent of Guerlain ones!)

The mascaras were really awesome, but I need to use them a few more times before a proper review. The Maybelline one is really huge in Europe right now with youtubers raving it over and over again. I think it is highly similar to Covergirl's Lash Blast, but this works less well on the volumising factor.

ASTOR is a German brand, I bought it mainly because of the price. 3.99 euros is too good to miss.

The yikes factor is those pearls. They look pretty and intriguing and all, but I don't exactly know the purpose of the product. I tries using the cotton pad that it came with and all I could see was sheer glitter. I highly doubt that it is used as a highlighter because my Turkish friend who can read German, said that it's like a finishing powder. Hence, I tried using my stipling brush and still I feel nothing on my face. Usually feeling like you have applied nothing on your face is a good feeling, but this one makes me feel kind of cheated. HALO PRODUCT, WORK!

H&M in Central Europe is CHEAP. When the prices are in euros, everything seems cheap. And to be honest, the prices were really cheaper than those in Sweden. STUPID SWEDISH KRONA.

I got myself some jinglyjangly bracelets. Lately, I have been obsessed with either bold bright colours, or rusted metallic brownish colours, and you can see that I bought mostly things of those colours. Two extremes that can be incorporated into an awesome look. heh :D

Orange set: 2.95 euros (H&M)
Blue set: 2.95 euros (H&M)
Brown set: 7.95 euros (H&M)

Belt: 2.95 euros or was it 4.95 euros? Can't really remember. (H&M)

Earrings from everywhere. H&M, flea markets, designer markets, etc. Prices were all in different currencies so my brain can't handle the calculations right now. HAHA. And yes, I'm crazy about turquoise because the colour complements my hair colour so well! :D

And some rings from a variety of places as well.

The pink polka-dotted with blue rim one is made entirely out of threads. VERY COOL AND VERY ACT CUTE. I LIKE.

Some LOTDs before I went for my roadtrip!

I actually look thin here. wah.

FML seriously as I have to go back to editing 695 photos right now. ARGH.

3 weeks before Greece trip. I SHALL STARVE MYSELF.

Do comment if you like this post! I'm still trying to get used to the fact that cbox is gone, so keep me posted with your opinions! :D
