I'm really tired, even of taking photos. I have my camera in my bag, but I just won't take it out to take photos and record daily musings visually. Typical how when the lazy drive is started, everything I do will be accompanied by irritation of inconvenience... even of taking photos!

I have decided that on Saturday I will post up a haul post as usual, but I will stop for 2 weeks. Since Loreal Beauty Sale is coming, I'm going to save up and spend on that day itself. Priorities definitely well-put. The Body Shop Sale is too much of a hassle so I will give it a miss. Not such a huge fan of Body Shop anyway.

Tomorrow will be denim day and I will be wearing my found-during-karangguni denim dress. It's BRAND NEW and it's DENIM! How appropriate right!

Feel so like sleeping. Today has been a bloody long day.

If I sleep now, I shall wake up at 8 to mug tomorrow!

2. I ran out of Maybelline Angelfit foundation.
3. I ran out of ZA foundation.
4. I ran out of Maybelline concealer.

the agony of being helpless

I think there's something with my brain.

It's not functioning the way I want it to.

And it's making my plans go haywire because of its rebellion.

For example,

I wanted to reduce my intake of carbohydrates from today onwards. But no, the brain decided that a little bread would not be harmless, and I ended up with kimchi instant noodles after that.

Catastrophe.

So I decided to gym it off. The guilt was overpowering, but the brain still is as naughty as a toddler. I ran for 15 minutes and the brain decided hmmm it will be nice to watch Rush Hour 3. And so all I did was A LOT of stretching and 15 minutes worth of running.

I'm actually quite obsessed with the current weight situation. Yes, I have seen heftier days but I also have bade farewell to lighter days. My goal is to be 50kg, is that THAT difficult.

No longer am I going to cry this off. IMMA TAKING SOME CONCRETE ACTIONS!

I think the bane is obviously the carbs. Rice is a staple but also a curse.

So what's the plan?

I'm going to reduce the intake of those darn carbs. Eat half a bowl of rice. Don't eat bread for breakfast or ANYTHING. Eat the entire bowl but leave half of the noodles. Yes. CARBS ARE NOT MY FRIENDS ANYMORE.

Of course, soft drinks are still out of the league. And yes, I have been good girl on that aspect. EVEN COKE ZERO DOESN'T COUNT!

Onto a more solemn situation, my mom just screamed and shouted at me for no reason. I hate it when she does that.

Usually I will just brush it aside and let her scream. but this time it was a little bit intolerable. It all started this afternoon with her having a really bad argument with my stepdad (they make sure they argue at least a million times a week) and so she was in a really foul mood. Whenever she is in a foul mood, she will do some housework. As she ironed some clothes, she realised there were less than enough hangers for her clothes. So she came in and rummaged my wardrobe to find hangers, after telling me to stop buying clothes in a harsh tone. I just nodded and then told her that I don't have hangers and she should stop rummaging the wardrobe because some of the clothes will just slip off the hangers. AND THEN SHE SCREAMED AT ME for not being respectful and that she was already patient with me for a damn long time and that she had not scolded me for a very long time and so I should appreciate it.

I love my mom but when she says things like that for no reason, I will get hot-tempered as well. Come on, I am her daughter and I have her hot-tempered trait in my blood.

So I just told her that if she wants respect, then she should respect me too and not vent her anger on me just because she's upset over other stuff. Then she did the ultimate no-no for me, which is to close the door and just ignore me like that.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

What is wrong with this situation is not with my mother, but with the man she is married to. I have been complaining again and again about this for the longest time ever.

An embarrassment to all Singapore men! (excluding Jack Neo, who is now also rubbish).

He did everything a jerk could do.

Had an affair - ticked

Quit a high-paying job to be self-employed - ticked

In the meantime, leech off my mom - ticked

Blamed mom for sister's rebellious behaviour - ticked

Watch TV every single hour of his presence at home - ticked

Told mom that brother will be better off not studying - ticked

Told mom the above even though he knew brother is smart - ticked

Threw things at me - ticked

Made my mom go so mad that she strangled me just to spite him - ticked

Made my mom go so mad that she caned me till blood oozed out just to show him that she could discipline me - ticked

All these when I was in primary 4 - ticked

Life sucks back then, and I just tolerated everything. I mean that's why I'm independent today, so no pain no gain huh?

Recess week is ending. I'm displeased.

I'm gaining weight. I'm displeased.

I'm lonely. I'm displeased.

Jack Neo had an affair. I'm displeased.

City Harvest buying over Suntec City. I'm displeased.

Have yet to study for 202. I'm displeased.

But still, life goes on.

Shall sulk now and be cheery again tomorrow.

ZOMG. 4 minutes to end of recess week. WALAO EH.

my last 3 days

Why must the American Idol Top 20 contestants sing I Gotta Feeling by BEP? Damn cheesy can. Only the BEP can sing it good. Any other covers are crap. =.=

Watched Alice In Wonderland yesterday. I was awed by everything till it ended. Jo and I were like "We want more!!" It was fantastic. FANTASTIC WITH BOTH THUMBS UP! TOE THUMBS TOO!

I would have liked it better if they cast someone fresher than whoever acted as Alice (Mia-what's-her-name). Claire Danes? DAKOTA FANNING? But the rest of the casts were spot-on! Especially in awe with Anne Hathaway. In awe with her because Carter and Depp were already too magical to begin with. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I will link Song's review for this movie. Can't wait to see what he will write. No pressure ah! (Eyes glaring with fire coming out from right eye and daggers from the left.)

I have a new eye-candy BTW. =) Liang Zhi Hao from Down With Love. WEEEEEEEE. He's Chinese but acted as a Hongkie in the show.

Since I'm already being random updownleftrightcentre, I shall just say that I am loving a toned-down look more and more. Just neutral eyeshadows, mascara, bronzer and no more. Saves A WHOLE LOT of time as well.

Went to TIOHENG at Katong Shopping Centre on Wednesday. I was early, as usual, and I wanted to walk around first. Wrong choice because I got overwhelmed by the flood of laoahpeks and maids. ZOMG. So I took refuge at the toilet for a while, and then hurried out of the building.

I have muscular legs. Talking about this, I realised I really need to lose weight. LIKE SERIOUSLY. My thinner days have gone by, and I need to get them back! I ran for half an hour just now, and yes, I was back to my unhealthy self because I was panting like nobody's business after 12 minutes. I desperately need divine intervention.

This is funny because the seller sent me this, but forgot all about another concealer palette that I also bought from her. And I already paid for it, and she has yet to reply my mail. LOL. I'm fine with it since I can just get her a negative rating.

I thought this was too light for me, but today I applied it, and it was actually quite close to my colour.

Another thing is I think the seller gave me 2 servings (LOL) of this stuff, because it came so full that it was overflowing. Nice but messy.

Again in the mood for midnight ramblings about how life is going on.

I have these weird dreams the past few days, and they have this power to jolt me up in the middle of my sleep, inducing a really painful migraine attack. (Due to REM or don't know what shit)

Guess what I dreamt of? DO NOT LAUGH OKAY!

I dreamt of kissing someone, but the other party is really blurry, and the funny thing is, as the face came nearer and nearer, I woke up.

Let's just start this post by saying that I really really appreciate life now, no matter if obstacles cloud my path or not. The whole fiasco at the hospital made me really grateful of being present in this world. Never will I complain about anything again (well maybe movies that don't really have Johnny Depp casted but should have done so)... never will I say how hot the weather is, never will I say how much ahtiongs ruin my life. I feel just thankful.

As of now, I'm downloading both of James Morrison's albums. I believe his songs are somewhat miracle-inducing. Bliss in the middle of the hot night. Simple yet lovely.

Today marks the first day of recess week. After this week, the semester will zoom zoom zoom away and yes, that marks the end of hall life. I came not expecting anything from my roomie. But thank God I have a wonderful roomie who is as crazy as myself! =)

I will certainly miss hall life because of the wonderful friends that keep me awake late into the night, mainly Jo, Ronald and Merill, and of course our occasional guests as well. No more ahlianbeehoon chomps in the middle of the night. No more comfy room. No more dirty toilets. Why did I get such a comfy room! Though I have to climb flights and flights of stairs to get to my room, once the aircon is swtiched on, every single bit of tire seems to just melt away. GAH! I WANT MY HALL ROOM BACK FOR YEAR 2!

And I always rotate between 2 shampoos. Never ever use an anti-dandruff shampoo on its own for a long period of time because your scalp will get used to it, and your dandruffs will come back haunting youuuu! HAHA.

AND YOU'D THINK I WILL STOP BUYING MORE AND MORE! I currently have 4 things waiting to be retrieved from the mail. MUAHAHAHAHAHA.
