BLOGMAS Day 15: H&M rings are so affordable!!

Why is H&M offering so many way-too-affordable accessories? Like a set of rings for S$2.90?! Initially, I stepped into H&M hoping to get a nice shift dress, but I stepped out with no apparels, but with hair clips and a truck of rings.

I have 10 fingers, but I ain't wearing one or two rings at any one time. I love stacking them rings and sometimes I slotted way too many until I had to remove all of them before I could type properly and comfortable at work. One reason why I love rings is because .... my fingers are the only body parts of mine that fit a size S. :D Strange hor? But yes, I have very strange fingers. I think when I lose weight, I lose the most from my fingers. I have rings from years back that are way too big now.

H&M now is my go-to place for rings!

The first two buys were random - I wanted to add a little bit of youthfulness to my daily blah and grim outfits. In the end, I picked bows in blah and grim colours. HAHA can you imagine me with a bright yellow bow on my head? No man, nooooo.

From here on, some of you may see me as a ring-hoarder/finger-overaccessoriser/a girl who can't be bothered with her nails, but yes those are extremely accurate portrayals. I have way too many rings and I'm not stopping because wahlao super chio and make me happy then okay liao lah.

The 5 sets of rings below cost me less than S$22 in total. Very good!

Siao liao...

...but excited to wear them all.

From today onwards, it's a single-digit countdown to Christmas. 2014, you sprinter is it??

Massive Clothing Haul (Sep-Oct 2014): Taobao, H&M, Zalora and Cotton On

There's a reason why this is a "Sep-Oct 2014" haul even though it's only the third day of October - I have to save the money and not shop anymore for the rest of October because I'm going to Bangkok next month!! Save the money and shop like crazy there! :D

Also, I need to review my wardrobe again. zzz.

First up, Taobao...
I'm very excited about these 6 items. If I could use a couple of words to describe my style, they would be "baggy" and "comfortable". I don't normally wear tight clothes because I feel like I cannot breathe. I love love love LOVE baggy and flowy tops/dresses even though they make me look bigger than I actually am. People actually ask me if I lost weight when I wear something tight. But aiyah, I prefer to be comfortable lah, and my job has no attire restrictions at all. Lagi best. Baggy tops/dresses really too nua, I love them!! When I wear something loose and boxy on top, I always make sure I'm wearing something lean and tight at the bottom; it's all about balance. This is why I don't normally buy a lot of pants/shorts/leggings/skirts. I have my favourites and I will repeat them with a different baggy top. Extremely easy process in the mornings - can save a lot of time!!

Blue shirt dress (RMB33)
Blue-green t-shirt dress (RMB32)
Flowy double plaid top (RMB69)
Striped sheer t-shirt dress (RMB27)
Striped v-neck sweater dress (RMB59)
Grey knitted vest (RMB32.99)
When I went to Copenhagen, I forgot my favourite leather jacket. I actually hung them near the bedroom door so that I could just take it and go when I left the house, but yah I forgot. Very dumb because the other jacket in my luggage was way too thick for the autumn weather. So I had to get a cardigan. Where else but H&M right? Then I saw this damn pretty curvy girl who was rocking an all black outfit with a high-low black T-shirt dress and leggings, so yes I wanted a high-low black T-shirt dress also.

Very strangely, the black shirt was cheaper in Denmark's H&M than Singapore's, but the cardigan was more expensive. Why like that ah?

&DENIM/CONSCIOUS long linen top (S$49.90, bought for 179DKK, so S$7 cheaper in Denmark)
Knitted cardigan (S$19.90, bought for 99DKK, so S$4 more expensive in Denmark. What?!)
Random Zalora tops that were in my wishlist. I decided to get them because I had a discount code, and on top of that, it was Mastercard Thursday, so I had a discount on top if a discount. Excellent.

Grey-purple v-neck blouse (S$24.90)
Sheer shoulder kimono blouse (S$24.90)
I was browsing Cotton On Asia for sleepwear and undergarments and decided to get these 3 shirts as well.
Tshirt 1, Tshirt 2, Tshirt 3 (3 for S$30 deal)
So yes, no more shopping till 6 November! Can't wait to shop in Bangkok with Dorabanana! :D Our Airbnb condo looks magical also, got rooftop pool leh, wow.

Have a great Friday! :)

August 2014 #ootd

I think compiling OOTD/fashion photos by the month will make categorising much simpler. I used to divide them by week number, but as I got older, this method got more unsuitable (short term memory + laziness kicking in). So yes, a monthly compilation will be a better method. Hopefully, I don't delete the photos from my phone. But then again I have limited space so I tend to delete. Here I go digressing again. Ok long story short, I need a better phone with more memory space.

Top - H&M
Skirt - H&M

Monochrome & prints

Sunday's coming to an end. I have a new Elixir Juice order that just arrived (this time all fruits because my previous order had celery juice in all my selections and I really don't like celery juice) and I just made a Taobao order. So many blogpost drafts created, and I'm tired from taking photographs and editing them.

On a really exciting note, Kengyang's coming back in 2 weeks' time. HOORAH! :))

Have a great Sunday guys!

New in: Rings from H&M

Yesterday was post-surgery day 1 and I was too jumpy to stay at home. So I decided to reward myself and I went out on a quick shopping session. It was a 2-hour session at JEM and I didn't really get many things. I bought the above rings for less than S$12 in total. Quite a bargain and H&M is really scoring high marks in the ring department.

Today's post-surgery day 2 and I still can't consume solids and hot liquids. So, I'm stuck with coffee, milo and various juices. I wanted to buy ice cream but the fridge in my house is officially broken down?! The washing machine broke down, the air con broke down, the printed broke down and now the fridge is a goner as well?!

Not consuming so much food has its positive as well. I have lost around 1.5kg and I know, I know, I'm losing my muscle weight + water weight, but very shiok to have flat tummy for damn long and to see the numbers keep going down? :D Of course, when I'm fully healed, I'll have to train my muscles and continue my running again - I have a 10km marathon to run in August with Eve!

Have a good day guys! :)

Japan Graduation Trip 2013 Haul: Apparels

Here's the last part to my Japan haul - apparels! Just in case you have not read part 1 and part 2, here are the links to those posts!

So.... the story was, I wasn't even planning to do much apparel shopping in Japan. I knew I would visit Uniqlo, but that was the only store in my mind because I thought everything else would be freaking expensive. I could not be more wrong. H&M and Forever 21 were much cheaper in Japan (compared to Singapore) and I found out that Uniqlo had a sister store called GU and that store offered similar apparels with cheaper prices. I went a little crazy at GU and I almost wanted to buy everything that I saw, but of course my luggage had its limitations and I had to choose only those items that I really really liked.

To be frank, Uniqlo had a lot of amazing items. I saw quite a few of dresses and printed leggings that I wanted to get (they are not available in Singapore yet) but the Uniqlo that I went in to had 12 storeys of clothes and accessories and by the time I reached the 8th floor, I was really bushed. In the end, the fatigue got into me and I didn't buy anything from Ginza's 12-storey Uniqlo.

Ok, less words and more photos!

Floral and pineapple print shirt from GU (990yen)
Cross print shirt from Forever 21 (either 1280yen or 1380yen)
Tribal print shirt from H&M (1190yen)

Crochet tank from H&M (990yen)
Khaki tank with leather trimming from H&M (500yen)

All three shirts are from GU and they were all 990yen each!

Johnny Depp tank from H&M (500yen)
BLESS muscle tank (free from ViVi magazine)

Leather-sleeved jacket from GU (990yen, discounted from 2990yen OMG HOW TO NOT BUY)

This is a major star buy. The leather feels so soft and it proves the fact that the Japanese really sells quality clothes no matter what the price tag is. The leather feels so much smoother and softer than my $89.90 Mango leather-sleeved denim jacket. GREAT BUY.

Sweater from GU (990yen)

Sweater from Urban Research (around 1500yen, it was 80% and the original price was around 7500yen?)

My love for leather continues.

Leather-sleeved shirt from Forever 21 (I think it was 1280yen).

Printed pants from GU (990yen each)
Crochet-detailed black shorts from Forever 21 (1780yen)

Such a pretty pair of shorts!! I think it's appropriate for work too! This can easily retail for S$45 and above at the local Forever 21s!

Bag from GU (990yen).

And here are my purchases from Uniqlo. I also bought a pair of really comfortable jeggings but the photo (for some weird reason) could not be uploaded into this post. =__=

Denim shirt (1290yen - on sale from 1990yen)
Grey midi dress (990yen - on sale from 1990yen)
Grey shirt with navy blue panels (990yen)

Sneaking in a taobao purchase. HAHA. I got this sweater from taobao for less than S$8! :D

Anyway, for those who are curious, here's a photo of GU. I know, the models are portrayed as aliens. I don't understand the concept as well. I remembered one GU tv advertisement that advertised the clothes in Singapore, in front of merlion and the alien girl was spurting water out of her mouth like merlion. I don't understand. I really don't. But, their clothes are cheap and are of good quality, so whatevs.

Also, if you are lagi more interested, you can visit GU's website (http://www.gu-japan.com/). Everything's in Japanese, but aiyah anyhow click also can browse lah!

With that, I conclude my Japan haul series! The next couple of posts will be on travelling in Japan! Have a great week ahead! :)

Cotton On + Qoo10 + H&M Haul

It's a very exciting week. School started and so many parcels came in the mail! Some of them were sponsored beauty stuff and other beauty purchases, but this post is mostly about my most recent fashion hauls (plus one hand cream purchase from qoo10. I need to organise my mind better haha).

Cotton On Asia online was having yet another sale, and I couldn't resist, especially when A4 and A5 notebooks were going on sale for S$2 and S$1 respectively on Typo (another label under Cotton On)! Of course as with all sales, I cannot just get notebooks; I bought some other pretty stuff too!

This pair of purple flats was S$5. Originally it was either S$35 or S$30, can't really remember. BARGAIN.

Shades for S$2, from S$14.95 initially. Crazy.

I was so intrigued by this cardigan. They had it in black and white, and one more other colour variation, but the nude and neon orange stood out the most, so I had to get it. S$10! I think it was S$40 originally?

Notebooks from TYPO. All these for S$6.

And a calendar for S$1. I bought this not for organisation and planning purposes, but for the pretty photos that came along with it. I think I'm gonna cut out all the photos and paste them all on my memory book.

Yes, I call my book the memory book. :P I've been keeping one since last year, and it's quite awesome to be flipping pages and pages of pictures and photos that I like. :)

One more photo of the cardigan from Cotton On. It's quite thick, so I think I can only wear it on a really rainy day.

I included the next photo in also because the handcream packaging is too cute! :) They were from Qoo10. I can't remember exactly how much they were, but I'm quite sure both cost me less than S$5.

I also stopped by H&M yesterday, and I think all shops in Singapore are having sales now (when are shops in SG not having sales? They are on sale EVERYDAY), and H&M sales are always quite good. I bought an oversized sweater for S$15 and almost bought another cardigan that was on sale for S$30 (original price = S$159 CRAZY), but I didn't get the second one because it was premium quality wool or something. Washing it will be a nightmare.

It was a good day yesterday because I only spent close to S$20 shopping. Online purchases are ... well ... a different category? Hehe.

Have a good weekend!! :)
