New in: Charles & Keith Oxfords, Forever 21 Necklace and new camera!

WOOHOO!

I finally got a new camera. The Canon G7X will be the camera I use for, hopefully, the next 5 years. I don't like to keep changing cameras because I see no reason in alternating cameras. Use until spoil, then change!! Apparently it's great for taking videos as well and many Youtubers are using the Canon G7X as their vlogging camera! Time to test that out in Tokyo next week (3 more days till departure! SO EXCITING!).

Also, whoever first came up with the wifi function for cameras is a genius.

Wait, I need to properly show my gratitude...let me google...

NIKON, thank you for blessing the camera world with this brilliant feature (my research is done haphazardly so this piece of information may be wrong, but aiyah I'm very grateful and that's the focus lah okay?)!

Yay finally can take decent photos for my blog! *tears of joy*

So this morning, I took some photos of my new shoes and my new necklace just to try the camera out and it was very good indeed.

New oxfords are from Charles & Keith! Very chio leh. I have decided to invest in more oxfords and sports shoes. No more of those trendy trendy things that will only look good for like a few months.

And my new necklace from Forever 21. Got it in CentralWorld Bangkok because there was a huge sale going on. This was 150baht? Original price is 3 times of that.

OH HAPPY DAY! :)

Forever 21 is testing my shopping ban ...

This Forever 21 is tempting me like people tempting a donkey with a carrot. Or like using honey to get Winnie The Pooh out of his bed.

Seriously, why all so nice?! ;-; Crying in despair because emptying my bank account significantly for all these items is quite stupid. I shall just share my struggle with my blog readers. HAIS.

Go-To Combat Boots (US$39.80)

(X)
If I get them all, it's going to cost me US$424.40, and that's before shipping to Singapore. But that will be around US$23.6 approximately per item. AIYOH SUCH TERRIBLE LEMMINGS ON A SUNDAY.

Sometimes, I really want to be born filthy rich.

Anyway, I won TOTO for the first time ever! Not a significant amount lah, but still I've never won TOTO in my life before. Yay!

Japan Graduation Trip 2013 Haul: Apparels

Here's the last part to my Japan haul - apparels! Just in case you have not read part 1 and part 2, here are the links to those posts!

So.... the story was, I wasn't even planning to do much apparel shopping in Japan. I knew I would visit Uniqlo, but that was the only store in my mind because I thought everything else would be freaking expensive. I could not be more wrong. H&M and Forever 21 were much cheaper in Japan (compared to Singapore) and I found out that Uniqlo had a sister store called GU and that store offered similar apparels with cheaper prices. I went a little crazy at GU and I almost wanted to buy everything that I saw, but of course my luggage had its limitations and I had to choose only those items that I really really liked.

To be frank, Uniqlo had a lot of amazing items. I saw quite a few of dresses and printed leggings that I wanted to get (they are not available in Singapore yet) but the Uniqlo that I went in to had 12 storeys of clothes and accessories and by the time I reached the 8th floor, I was really bushed. In the end, the fatigue got into me and I didn't buy anything from Ginza's 12-storey Uniqlo.

Ok, less words and more photos!

Floral and pineapple print shirt from GU (990yen)
Cross print shirt from Forever 21 (either 1280yen or 1380yen)
Tribal print shirt from H&M (1190yen)

Crochet tank from H&M (990yen)
Khaki tank with leather trimming from H&M (500yen)

All three shirts are from GU and they were all 990yen each!

Johnny Depp tank from H&M (500yen)
BLESS muscle tank (free from ViVi magazine)

Leather-sleeved jacket from GU (990yen, discounted from 2990yen OMG HOW TO NOT BUY)

This is a major star buy. The leather feels so soft and it proves the fact that the Japanese really sells quality clothes no matter what the price tag is. The leather feels so much smoother and softer than my $89.90 Mango leather-sleeved denim jacket. GREAT BUY.

Sweater from GU (990yen)

Sweater from Urban Research (around 1500yen, it was 80% and the original price was around 7500yen?)

My love for leather continues.

Leather-sleeved shirt from Forever 21 (I think it was 1280yen).

Printed pants from GU (990yen each)
Crochet-detailed black shorts from Forever 21 (1780yen)

Such a pretty pair of shorts!! I think it's appropriate for work too! This can easily retail for S$45 and above at the local Forever 21s!

Bag from GU (990yen).

And here are my purchases from Uniqlo. I also bought a pair of really comfortable jeggings but the photo (for some weird reason) could not be uploaded into this post. =__=

Denim shirt (1290yen - on sale from 1990yen)
Grey midi dress (990yen - on sale from 1990yen)
Grey shirt with navy blue panels (990yen)

Sneaking in a taobao purchase. HAHA. I got this sweater from taobao for less than S$8! :D

Anyway, for those who are curious, here's a photo of GU. I know, the models are portrayed as aliens. I don't understand the concept as well. I remembered one GU tv advertisement that advertised the clothes in Singapore, in front of merlion and the alien girl was spurting water out of her mouth like merlion. I don't understand. I really don't. But, their clothes are cheap and are of good quality, so whatevs.

Also, if you are lagi more interested, you can visit GU's website (http://www.gu-japan.com/). Everything's in Japanese, but aiyah anyhow click also can browse lah!

With that, I conclude my Japan haul series! The next couple of posts will be on travelling in Japan! Have a great week ahead! :)

Japan Graduation Trip 2013 Haul: Accessories

I tell you, Japan had her ways of making me buy things. I thought Uniqlo was awesome, but then I realised Uniqlo had a sister store called GU and almost everything in GU was priced at 990yen (~S$12) so I went crazy at GU. Then I thought okay, Forever 21 and H&M should be priced similarly or more expensive than in Singapore right? NO, I WAS SO SO SO SO WRONG. Forever 21 pricing was just the direct exchange rate of US$ versus Japanese Yen. So if something was US$12.80, it will be 1280yen in Japan's Forever 21. THAT IS CRAZY. Like got no tax meh? I found a pair of shorts (upcoming in next haul post!) that was 1780yen (US$17.80) and it can easily be priced at S$59 in Singapore. WALAO SINGAPORE FOREVER 21 WHY YOU LIKE THIS?! Also, H&M was cheaper. A normally S$17.90 shirt is around S$14.90 in Japan. And yes, I'm scary like that, I can remember the prices from local stores because I frequent them so much and I grumble at the prices so much.

Then Japan has Pokemon Centres, money fly away. Then Japan has Studio Ghibli stores, money fly away again.

See? How to not spend money in Japan?

A set of pretty socks from GU for 490yen. 5 pairs of socks for ~S$6. BUY.

I went a little Eevee crazy in the Pokemon Centre. HAHA. I love Eevee and all its evolutions (maybe I don't like Vaporeon as much), so I had to get almost everything!! Socks, pencil with Eevee tail (CUTEEEE), makeup pouch and many many files (not in photo).

More socks. :D

My finger thingamajingz (I just created that word out of nowhere) from Studio Ghibli. Why did I buy them? I completely have no idea. I figure they make nice decorations? But now I realise I have no space to display them. I AM A GENIUS. Maybe I should visit Daiso soon.

Forever 21 accessories. The accessories were so affordable! As I said F21 is much cheaper in Japan than in Singapore. :')

The arrow necklace was 180 yen. 180 YEN! S$2.25!! Confirm priced at S$7 here loh. =_=

Loving everything that I got. I can't wait for work to start so I can use my Eevee files. HAHAHAHA. Next up is my fashion haul post! Brace yourself for that one because it's gonna be HUGE. :D YAY!
