na na na na don't phunk with my heart....

This post is mostly about ramblings and hauls. Not much intellectual talk.
Went to Lenny's house for an overnight stay yesterday, and I fell asleep much earlier than everyone, not surprisingly.
Lohla was quite hilarious. He was still asleep and I went into the room to tell him that I was going home, and I said bye to him. He muttered back, "bye.....4th december....end course.." This few words created a myriad of laughter at 7am in the morning. He is obsessed with NS. gawd.

Today, while the rest braved the foul weather in Sentosa, mao and I went to Singapore Expo to check out Loreal Beauty Sale and Penguin Books Warehouse Sale.

Before I touch on that topic, I would like to share my frustration with all my beloved readers. If any Filipino maid is reading my blog, I'm sorry but I really don't care about your feelings.

They are a bunch of crazy cuckoos. The government should restrict their every movement just like how they restrict the Indonesian maids.

The Beauty Advisors were opening up a new box of Loreal lipsticks and lipglosses. Inside, the huge boxes were small little boxes of lipsticks, packed in groups of 12. When the maids saw what was happening, they swarmed the area, and then grabbed every tiny box that they could. So each of them ended up with 12 lipsticks OF THE SAME COLOUR! and then they followed the beauty advisors to the counter, and snatched some more.

After the snatch-fest, they snuggled and crawled their way out of the crowd, and then expressed their satisfaction by laughing and talking incredibly loudly in Tagalog.

Why do you even need 12 lipsticks of the same colour? You want to sell at a higher price is it? You know got expiry date one or not?

I was so pissed off that I elbowed one maid in her shoulder. Not my business, not my fault that she is short. blergh.

Ah.
off to better things.

This was the card that Sharyl made for our French teacher during our last French session.
Now that I remember, where are all the photos that we took? None appeared on Facebook le.

As said in the previous post, Song and I went to Somerset@313 to check out the Uniqlo sale. The queue was this crazy...

The next day after we picnic-ed outside Uniqlo, horny hui told us that the Uniqlo at ION Orchard was having the exact same sale, with less crowd and more colours and sizes. chicken banana.

I only bought 3 books at the Penguin Warehouse Sale because I spent alot at the Beauty Sale. Any of you going for this sale, here are some tips:
1. If you like ChickLit, buy "The Little Black Book" series, they are all priced at 3 bucks.
2. If there's a particular title that you want to get, it's better to search for the paperback-covered and smaller versions of the book, because the price is determined on size of book (not thickness) and whether or not it's hard-covered.
3. Watch out for books with blank pages. Most of the books sold are factory rejects so better check before you pay.

All the books here are 5 bucks apiece.

This book is 900++ pages. so worth the money. and it's about gore and ghost. so me right? =)

Finally, revealing my Loreal Beauty Sale haul...
I didn't buy eyeshadows and lip products because I have enough surplus to last me 2 lifetimes.

Garnier hair-dye: 2 for 10 bucks

Loreal hair-dye: 2 for 15 bucks

Loreal foundation cake + liquid foundation set: 20 bucks
I'm quite pissed that the Maybelline ones were sold out, but at least I got these as backups.

Loreal foundation cake + concealer set: 20 bucks

Loreal shampoo + conditioner for coloured hair: 3 for 10 bucks

My most prized buy, Loreal Extra Volume Collagen mascara: 15 bucks. YAY

Loreal double-ended mascara + makeup remover set: 15 bucks

Maybelline dream mousse blush + angelfit concealer: 2 for 10 bucks

For the extra flabby me, garnier bodyfit range: 2 for 15 bucks.

Last but not least, Loreal make-up removing wipes: 10 bucks.

Both sales left me drained out of energy. GAH.

However, mao and I still went to have good food at Causeway Point after the Filipino attack. I had my ALL TIME FAVOURITE volcano ramen at Ajisen. YUMMO YUMMO! =)

Oh, and one more tip for those who still want to go for the sale tomorrow,
bring a guy along. He can help you carry your stuff while you rummage through throngs and throngs of mad baboons. can help you queue first also, because you WILL be in the queue for an hour or more.

Need sleep. BAH.
Going to clean wardrobe tomorrow. Bursting everywhere.
