biopolis-matrix, centros, helios and what-nots

It was yet another new beginning at a new job.

I am now officially a temporary staff at Biopolis and I think what I'm doing is so worth the 6 bucks per hour that I'm paid for.

I cannot dwell much into the details because we had to sign a letter to seal our mouths about the going-ons in the labs.

Basically, my job is a verifier. I need to verify the serial numbers and asset numbers of all the equipments used in all the labs. Definitely not a boring job because I see new things everywhere I go. It was intriguing actually... Labcoats, gloves, cold rooms, warm rooms and MOE cafetaria.

One downside though, lunch will never be provided. So i'm fasting for 2 weeks. My diet is definitely in progress.

Also, if anyone works at Biopolis in the future, take note that the cheapest food in the vicinity is either at MOE canteen or Ghim Moh Market. When you order food from MOE canteen, PLEASE DO NOT WEAR YOUR VISITOR TAG, because they will charge you visitor's price, which is obviously more expensive. I was the dumb one. blah.

Nice work, nice partner from NUS Chemistry. YAY. =)

Anyway...

Don't know if I can say this, but heck it anyway..

We were supposed to be working 8 hours today, but we finished EVERYTHING in 2 hours. The finance staff didn't know we could finish so quickly (not just us, but EVERYONE) so they reimbursed us by paying the full 48 bucks today. Some of them left at 2+ pm and they still got 48 bucks. AMAZING OR NOT! =) I slacked with Danielle and Eve in the Function Room till 5 to wait for Huiling (cause she was doing IT, so different from us) and we were thrilled that at that moment when we were lying down on the carpeted floor and bitching about everything under the sun, we were still earning money.
