once upon a time

I really apologise for this lack of blogging. My life is now stifled with a gargantuan number of activities and deadlines that I'm really put off by blogging. Even shopping has taken a really long holiday because I'm too tired to view all the online shopping sites.

Next week marks the third week of school, which in my head translates to the week when I really start to mug real hard.

Hence, I should complete coding asap, like by tomorrow.

Ok ciao, shall chiong 10 dvds today.

*crosses fingers and hopes I don't procrastinate*

just another post

Reading Elizabeth Gilbert's "eat, pray, love" makes me feel really doubtful about what I will do in times of crisis.

A strong exterior always accompanied with easily-melting interior.

Elizabeth Gilbert tried to solve her catastrophes by healing herself slowly in a spiritual journey to Italy, India and Indonesia. For me, I doubt I will have the courage to even step out of the house and face the world with a determined spirit.

It makes me wonder sometimes how miniscule my drive is.

I have goals.
I have dreams.
I have plans.

But what I don't have are the processes to which I will achieve these goals.

My mentality is such that life will reward whenever you are worth to be rewarded. No such thing as forcefully trying to change whatever fate has created for you.

And that is why I take things one at a time. I will do what is needed in the present and not worry about the future.

This is a positive trait. However, nothing can be too positive. Sometimes I wonder if I'm taking things too lightly or not; if what I'm doing is enough for everyone and satisfactory to my own ego.

Then comes the matter of being a perfectionist, which clashes in its entirety with being happy-go-lucky. It's like two voices speaking to me at the same time. One will persuade me to take things easy, while the other will persist that if I don't do anything now, the future will be in ruins. It's not very easy to have such conflicting thoughts, especially when you have so many commitments.

I want to improve my GPA.

That was my goal for last semester. The perfectionist and the carefree sides of me crashed really badly. At times, I was crying to my sleep in hall (yes, I cry when I know that my roomie is asleep) because I want to accomplish something but I couldn't. More often than not, I would have my notebook infront of me, together with my readings and lecture slides. But I couldn't start reading anything. Believe me, I wasn't even trying to find an excuse to not study. I stared at the words and nothing went inside the head. It was all a blur. In the end, I would end up doing something else, almost always in no relation to whatever I was intending to do in the first place.

Then the drive would only appear during the last lap, when everyone is expected to be revising their materials. I would start from scratch and endure the torture.

In the end, I survived, and I achieved my goal.

But such, is not an experience that I'm proud of.

Which brings me back to "eat, pray, love".

Elizabeth Gilbert didn't plan her journey from the beginning. But, she knew what she wanted, and she knew the summary as of to how she's going to achieve what she wanted. Nothing too detailed, just a gist of everything.

I need to learn that. I need to learn how to slowly achieve my goals in a pleasant way. That will begin with me slowly changing my studying habits.

It may sound like a joke; me trying to seek some sort of answer and help in my inability to study better. Through the changes that I make in my academic idiosyncrasies, I will be able to change accordingly other important marks in my life.

Eat

Pray

Love

If only life were that simple.

I'm so sorry. (HAUL + BITCHING)

This week is my first week being a 2nd year student in SCI.

Damn fucking busy.

I have yet to survive the siao number of readings and whatnots. Whatever lar. HAHA. I will survive this year!

By the way, I wonder why is she so fucking nosy. Now that the freshies hate her, I'm relieved to find out that my judgement is not flawed. Such a bitch. Being a bitch is fine, sometimes it's useful too. But she's just one hell of rubbish. Tsk tsk. Thank my lucky stars I have NOTHING to do with her.

Changed my hair colour AGAIN. HAHA. Now I'm an ahlian. I tried to get used to the colour, but still no le, so am going to dye back soon! =D

Some outfits of the day for this week. I couldn't take pictures every single day because there are times when I have to rush out. I realise I like to just sit on the bed and stare at my cupboard for a good 15-20 minutes before noticing that I'm going to be late. What a weird habit.

More birthday presents!

Thanks Lenny for the very personalised card, and (LOL) wu ling mi ji.

From Mervin, JiaLiang, Kokwei, Zihao, Weikee - did i miss anyone?

I still can't believe they went into Etude House to get these for me. Such a pink shop, AND THEY WENT IN! O_O

These Topshop tights were on sale for 9 bucks each. In love with funky leggings these days, so I just grabbed them without much thinking. As usual.

Cotton On cardigan - 5 bucks online
Cotton On tank - 5 bucks in store

Necklaces - 2 for 10 bucks from Gmarket

WOOTS

New Vans backpack - 80 bucks (no need to pay cash because I had TANGS vouchers. Thanks Zuohan, Charmaine, YanLan, Lynn, Michelle, Willy, Darius and Clara!)

Eve said they were fugly though. HAHAHAHA.

Accessories from F21 - 57 bucks in total (again no cash spent because of vouchers. Thanks Ruiping, Nicole and Timothy!)

More NYX Lipsticks. These were 2 for 5 bucks I think.

Mars is like the perfect colour for everyday wear. LOVE.

I think buying lipsticks for me is rather dangerous for my health. I will tend to eat whatever's on my lips by like 2 hours. O_O HAHA.

Since I had ALOT of Sephora vouchers (Thanks Ivan, Sarah and paverts!) I had to get some MAC Cosmetics. :D

I wanted the tawny girl set, but it was sold out. damn it. All they had left was Frisky Girl.

Photos are all not my own. Had to steal some from the net because I couldn't take nice photos myself. so fail.

I really really like the Pretty Baby Beauty Powder. I see alot of usage in the future!

And that's the end of this week's rambling. HAHAHAHAHA.

I may have some more stuff in the mail. Don't know when they coming also. AIYOYOYOYO.

So sorry for the lack of posts.

It's either being too busy, or being too lazy.

Will update tomorrow!

since im awake, might as well...

Such a long night. I have been working on my last fLIPR article and I have to rush because of the incompetency of some people.

I managed to pull through and I have all my 48 high-resolution photos. However, I have yet to compile them, and will do so tomorrow after I'm back from Dnd photoshoot (technically tonight).

And I'm pulling an all-nighter now because I'm quite certain I will wake up late if I were to sleep now. I have to leave at 7.45 am to Harbourfront. Such awesome timing.

So one of my haul post once again. This blog is getting quite monotonous. Long gone the days where I blog just to spit on other people's ugly behaviours. I will do more of that when school starts next week. School starting means more work to do, more load on my back and hence, hopefully less shopping. Holidays are the epitome of evilness.

I met up with Ruiping and Lily on Wednesday for a simple gathering, and thank you Ruiping for the f21 vouchers and the masks! Thanks for the card as well! :D

Anyway, we were at Marina Square and we passed by this Korean grocery store. So Lily and I bought one of the pancakes to try out. This thing is horrible. So dry that I couldn't eat it without sipping some water. Goodness me.

John Little was having some sale too. So I bought these bracelets for 6.90 a piece. My love for beads ~

More everydayminerals blushes.

I have way too many blushers, but heck.

These 2 were 8 bucks in total. Natural looks very very fabulous.

Such a steal.

Got the Bourjois concealer and Laneige foundation for 16 bucks only. Serious bargain since the Laneige foundation retails more than 40 bucks. Awesome awesome. Have yet to try though.

And there's another doubt. I have the sample size of this foundation in #21, and this full-sized one is also in #21, but the full-sized one is much darker in real life! So so weird.

Johor purchases!

Must buy magazines when you visit JB/or any part of Malaysia. :D

elianto purchases. Having crazy promotion with some items going for 70% less.

I kind of forgot all the prices already, so pardon me. =/

baked eyeshadows. love the brown.

stay-on eyeliner pen. this thing is rubbish.

stay-on liquid eyeliner. consistency is okay. pigmentation is much better than the rubbish above. (expected lar, eyeliner pen tend to be less pigmented in nature)

Eve helped me get some bath salts when she went to the St James Flea Market. 2 for 10 bucks.

Bought these ray-ban knockoffs for RM19.90. I like the fact that the rims do not cut into my cheeks.

Some fashion haul.

This oversized shirt was selling for RM19.90. Just had to get it because I saw the weird pocket. LOL.

Lace sweater. Forgot how much it was. But definitely more than RM5o.

Lace cropped top. This is a very scary purchase because wearing this means I will have to bare more of my fat arms. Need extreme courage for this. HAHA. Also more than RM50.

And it's 5.30am now.

What to do now?

Maybe I should go and make some breakfast. So so so hungry.

just scared

So stressed over exchange matters now.

in no mood to blog at all.

perhaps i will start blogging again when the exchange application is over, which is next wednesday I think.

I have materials to blog, but I just don't find the spirit to do so.

Life really sucks sometimes.

the sunrise.

The euphoria.
The anxiety.
The anticipation.
The dread.

Many words describe the start of the new school year.

I am excited for school to start because I can finally have something to look forward to again. I am worried because the current state of my brain is not that of a favourable one. I am hoping to find myself working harder to break into the first class honours category (slowly slowly). I am scared of workload and outside stuff conflicting.

Once school starts, there's no room for being emotional anymore because time passes so quickly. You want every minute of your school life to be meaningful and I can't afford to be in the blues every now and then. I need to live my academic life fruitfully!

Holidays are welcome once in a while, but four months straight is ultimate brain-malfunctioning. Even my thoughts are all in a blur. I have no direction to follow and I just follow whatever is infront of me.

School is such a magical place.

I really look forward to the start of school.

I really look forward to the start of life again.
