Black Box December 2013 Edition

Another Black Box post! The December 2013 box came in just in time! So many of the items included are travel-appropriate!

Black Box April 2013 - Double Happiness!

Yet another beauty-box related company has emerged! Black Box is different though because you don't need to pay a single cent! OH YEAH. Initially I subscribed once to Black Box (April 2013), but I think my form submission process got wonky and accidentally I submitted more than 3 times. I waited and waited and waited and waited, and finally it came delivered to my doorstep yesterday! 

I was shocked because I received two of the same box! At first, I went "crap, now I have double of samples that I won't use", but no, that thought disappeared quite quickly because I pretty much liked everything inside the box. Even the Vanish stain remover because I can bring it to Japan for my laundry sessions! :D

And yes, for subscribers, you will get emailed links to a certain survey. After you have completed that survey, you will receive another Black Box (of another month) for free! Just completed mine, and I can't wait to receive my June 2013 Black Box! :)

Every box will have a fixed set of items, with an addition of one or two extra surprises!

For the first box, I got the Ettusais sample as the extra surprise!

Seriously, if you give me coffee sachets in your box, there's a very high likelihood that I will love your box. :P So yay, 6 new Nescafe coffee sachets! :)

Also, I thought it was fate that I got the belif samples, and not only random belif things, but they gave a sample of the belif First Aid 360 Eye Care Mask, WHICH I WANTED TO GET FOR THE LONGEST TIME. Even though each sachet was only 3ml, a little bit of product goes a long way. I emptied the product into a small container and the 6ml looks substantial enough to be used for a good 2-3 weeks! OHYEAH!

The L'oreal Revitalift Serum and Cream samples are not small. I think they can be classified under "deluxe samples" already. Problem is should I start using them, or should I give them to my mom? Even though I would love to start on my anti-ageing skincare routine soon, but starting on strong products like these is not good on my skin. Later my skin dependent on it how? :(

The second box had the Bioflora Collabee as a surprise item! I put it in the fridge already and according to the card it taste like pineapple juice?! Can't wait to drink it tonight and be in deep illusion of how my skin is firming up already. :P

The rest of the items are similar to the first box!

Anyway, there were a lot of vouchers included inside the box as well! I can't wait to use my Revive Wellness voucher!

How's that for a FREE beauty box? Actually I shouldn't mention Black Box as a "beauty box" because  they include unisex items and not solely beauty/skincare items! As written on the website, "there's always something for him and for her"!

First Impressions: VanityTrove for August 2012

It took me quite a while to decide whether or not I wanted to jump onto the surprise beauty boxes' ship. I wasn't sure what to expect out of these boxes and finally last month I decided to purchase on for my birthday month!

I think I'm definitely buying the September 2012 box. The theme is Fall in Love: Beauty Made for the Season. SOUNDS SO AMAZING ALREADY! :D 

Let's now check out the August 2012 VanityTrove! 

Delivery was extremely efficient. The management even sent out a mass email when one of the items (that was to be packed in the box) was late and so the delivery might be delayed. Excellent service! 

The box itself is very sleek. I have kept the box to store my sample beauty and skincare products. Great for storage, especially for people like me who have too many things, but too little space. 

The August 2012 VanityTrove was dedicated to "Rocket Science" - products that use the latest technology to create wonders to the respective body parts.

I also received a Zalora.sg voucher coupon and an Eyebrow Design session for 50% at Erabelle! I just booked my eyebrow treatment session, so yay to pampering for the eyes! Ok, perhaps not pampering because it's going to be painful, but it makes my face look more tidy, so YAY!

VanityTrove also included a brochure of what products you can expect to get in your VanityTrove box! For some categories, they had choices of what we may get, so another VanityTrove box may be different from yours!

For "Magic Mixers" - I was given the FULL-SIZE Majolica Majorca Eyes Reset Gel

For "Made to Fit" - I was given the Morillins Eyes Therapy Mask

Some VanityTreats from Watsons were also included, like Biore Aqua Jelly Makeup Remover, Skin 79 BB Cream Series sample sachet and Neutrogena Deep Clean Brightening Mulberry Foaming Scrub.

I love this surprise open-box concept. Even my sister was sitting next to me asking me to open everything. :D

Morillins Eyes Therapy Mask - firming and revitalizing! I have yet to try this, but am gonna do so tonight!

A mini sample of origins Plantscription Anti-aging Eye Cream. This is tiny, but you don't need a lot of product for a single application, hence, this will last me for quite some time. A free 20-min mini facial was also included! I gave that to my mom because she needed it more than me.

3 SAMPAR samples. SAMPAR is a French brand and I knew nothing about it until this box came! This is why I love the concept - you get introduced to indie brands and perhaps they have killer products! Can't wait to try these out!

I was given the SAMPAR Poreless Magic Peel, SAMPAR Equalizing Foam Peel and SAMPAR Glamour Shot.

I can also redeem some other SAMPAR products! :D

Some BRANDS product! I'm quite surprised at how normal tasting there were. I drank both of them chilled and they tasted quite good! In my mind, BRANDS = Chicken Essence and I hate chicken essence.

The Scottish Fine Soaps Au Lait Bath & Shower Gel (50ml). This smells like heaven, and the smell lingers on your skin for quite some time. What a product. I can't believe I'm loving the bath product most. 

A full-sized Majolica Majorca Eyes Reset Gel! I love makeup removers and so I'll be reviewing how well this product removes eye makeup!
