Review: MISSHA The Style Under Eye Brightener

This is another one of my Qoo10 acquisitions. I was running out of my Etude House concealer, and decided to ransack the website for another good Korean brand concealer, and I found this! It's only S$6.90 with free shipping. AMAZING! :)

I really enjoy buying beauty products off Qoo10. They are authentic, very reasonably priced (a huge difference from the exorbitant price-tags at the physical stores in Singapore) and the sellers are always including a generous number of free samples. LOVELY!

I tried the MISSHA The Style Under Eye Brightener, and I'm glad to say it works!

And yes, at first I was really baffled by the "Under Eye Brightener" name, but I guess it's a concealer that's more suited for the under-eye areas. I used it on other parts and it's working out fine!

Applicator: The applicator is the typical doe-foot applicator found in almost all of such products. No qualms whatsoever about the applicator.

Coverage: This is not as heavy duty as I would like it to be. It's more for someone who has light acne or someone with really terrible dark eye circles. True to its name, it works better for under eye areas than for acne or spots. If you were to use this on red, flaming pimples, it will do nothing to it. Seriously nothing. It doesn't even conceal the redness.

Consistency: I am glad this concealer has a consistency that resembles a gel mousse rather than a liquid. I really hate too-watery concealers (what's the point?!) because they just run everywhere and you can't concentrate the coverage on your targeted areas. However, this has that just-nice consistency that I like. It's not too sticky like a cream concealer, but it's thick enough for easy concealing.

Anyway, just a heads up to people with oily skin/ troubled skin, if you are using cream concealers at the moment, stop using them, unless there's the "non-comedogenic" claim emblazoned on the product. Cream concealers use a lot of oil in their formulations and hence they may make your skin problems worse!! Use a liquid or powder concealer instead!

Application: Very easy to blend, and also somehow it covers up huge pores! Hoorah! :D

I don't have perfect skin, but I always aim to use beauty products to conceal my imperfections. People say I'm crazy and obsessed, but in the end you are judged by how you look/ through first impressions right?

Will I buy it again? I don't think so. Even though it works well (and more so under the eyes), I would rather buy a concealer that works on both my acne areas and under my eyes!
