Delicious Thai Food at Golden Mile Complex

Will you be able to find one of the best Thai eateries in Singapore at Golden Mile Complex? DUH, that place's well known for being the "Little Thailand" in Singapore.

As we walked to find the restaurant that Li Rong recommended, we walked past Thai discos, and also a magazine stand that SOLELY sells Thai magazines (you will see Vivi magazine too, got me all excited, but after a closer look, it's Vivi Thailand. HAHAHA).

I'm going to kick myself in the butt right now for not remembering the name of this Thai gem. It's located well inside the building, you can't see it from the front at all and you need to just find the Thai restaurant that's well hidden in the left corner of the building (1st floor!).

Ah Loy has some competition, especially the Phad Thai!

But of course, no Thai food is complete without Tom Yum!

It wasn't the best. I think Ah Loy has better Tom Yum. Best Tom Yum in my opinion comes from Jane Thai at Orchard Towers!

This Phad Thai was MAJOR INCREDIBLE. The serving is not very big (I think it was S$5?) but every bite was so precious. Springy noodles with the standard to-die-for Phad Thai flavour. Officially the best Phad Thai I have ever eaten. And so much vegetables too! PLUS POINTS!

We also ordered Beef Basil Rice to share, and siao, this is damn spicy. They cook the beef with chilli padi, UNSEEDED.

It's only for people who loves spicy food. No, people who loves extra spicy food. It's like biting fresh chili padi. Crazy spicy. BUT VERY GOOD AND SO ADDICTIVE! :D

Good dish for the Indonesian in me who always crave butthole-pain spicy food.

Beef noodles was good too! Small serving (S$4), but the broth packs a punch of flavour. It's crazy how much flavour you get in such a tiny bowl!

THE STAR OF THE NIGHT. MANGO WITH STICKY RICE. This is the best version I have ever eaten. I remember I ate the same desert at Ah Loy once, and I got SOUR MANGOES. Such a downer. But this was too good. Fresh, sweet mangoes, with really good sticky rice. Sometimes the sticky rice will come nua, BUT THIS IS SO GOOD. ZOMG. I CAN EAT PLATES AND PLATES OF THIS!

Mediocre red ruby. This is just plain sweet and coconut-y.

Obviously I don't aspire to be a food blogger. I'm so terrible with describing food, everything is "delicious" and "awesome" for me. HAHAHAHA.

But PLEASE just go to Golden Mile Complex for some good Thai food. Ah Loy has competition!! :D
