Musings much?

The plan to go to CCKSS for National Day Parade failed because I wanted to sleep more. Ohwell, CCKSS can always wait.

Yesterday was the day that I met the new Jagerbomb girl. She is very pretty - kind of demure, soft spoken pretty. Makes me wanna call Glenda up to change the pageant contestant but that will be cruel. So I shall let her be a Jo Quek, since they are both pretty, supposed to go pageant but never go for whatever reasons and still well-liked by guys and girls alike. (Yes this is an advertisement for Jo Quek because she reads my blog and so I must make sure my loyal readers are well-treated.)

Another loyal reader will be Natasha. For you, I'm going to conjure up some Bible of Ebay. :D
  1. First and foremost, shopping on Ebay requires optimum patience. You will not get lucky the first time round; that's not how the universe works. You have to keep going back on a daily, or once every two days, to search for better and better deals on the things that you want. Let us use heels as example objects.
  2. Obviously the most important and simple thing to do is to type "heels" on the search bar. Though that is not enough, you have to narrow it down further by selecting "Clothing, Shoes and Accessories" in the Categories bar. When your search results come out, you will realise they will even give you earrings shaped like heels and other irrelevant things. So you choose "Women's shoes" at the Refine Search bar to the left of your screen.
  3. After you can search results specific to what you need, you have to meddle with the price listings. For those looking for budget items, select "Price: Lowest First" and the Sort by: dropbox. These will show the search results in order of pricing, from the least costly to the most expensive. For those who have been searchind for days and days and still have yet to find the correct pair, select "Time: Newly Listed". This will provide you with search results in order of which pair is newly listed to which pair is ending soon.
  4. As I said, being on Ebay is easy, but getting the right pair requires time and luck. Whenever you see something for a cheap pricetag but the model is not necessarily what you like, just click on it and then when you reach the item-listing page, click "See other items" on the right hand side. This will show you all the products that this particular seller has listed out. Perhaps if you are lucky, you may find some surprise in the list. (This was exactly how I got my 3 pairs from the same exact seller; sellers on Ebay normally list out products in hope to get rid of them, so once they list one product as of some cheap price, the rest should have similarly cheap prices.)
  5. Very important: if you see sellers that sell products that you really like, please Save this seller to your favourites. These sellers may come back with new stuff!
  6. If you are unsure about whether or not you want to buy something, or whether or not there are cheaper alternatives, you can always 'Watch this item" first and it will automatically be on your My Ebay.
  7. *VERY IMPORTANT* - THIS IS TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T GET CONNED OR SPEND MONEY UNNECCESSARILY DUE YO PRESSURE. Some Ebay sellers start the bidding prices for their products at a OMG $0.99. This will entice a lot of buyers, which will result in a bidding war. If the case is simple, the bidding war is participated by solely buyers. However, most of the time, the seller has 2 accounts; one as seller and one as a buyer. The buyer account will keep increasing and over-bidding your original bid, in hope that you will increase yours too. So in the end you may have to pay like $25 because of this unethical bidding war. So how to take note of this: when you bid, they will indicate how many bids have been made on the item. Click on it and see the details. Usually they will only show something like this - l*********s. Take note of this combination and go to every single product that the buyer has listed and check every single bidding history. If this combination keeps appearing, you know you won't have to waste your time anymore.
I can only think of these 7 steps now. Perhaps when something comes up, I will add on to this Bible. :D

Hope you guys find this useful! Comments and add-ons greatly appreciated too!
