It's 3:47am.

I am in Nanyang Chronicle Room because Ron let us in (shush), and I just finished my 202 contents.

I was really elated, then I realised I have to cite all my sources in APA style and I have to print colour copy. Nabei.

I'm going home tomorrow to do everything. GAH.

The only good thing: IT'S MY MOM'S BIRTHDAY! I can be home to celebrate her birthday! WOOTS.

Nevermind the pain

I love my school.

I just saw a man whizz past with his auto-scooter, complete with helmet and elbow guards.

Seriously NTU-WKWSCI is the only place I will miss when I graduate.

Eccentric individuals.

Not-so-nice but still cosy amenities.

Rock-ass lecturers. (I do not think DJ qualifies as a lecturer)

As a whole, I just love my school. ♡♡♥♥♡♡

However, the post has now come to the part where I hit all of you back to the reality. The exams are unfortunately coming and assignments are still aplenty. Time to do some more listing:

1. HH202 debate tomorrow
2. COM202 due this Thursday at NOON, not 6pm!
3. COM204 due this Friday
4. COM206 due this Friday (COMPLETE WITH INDIVIDUAL ESSAY)
5. COM208 final assignment due NEXT Friday (yet to be released)
6. COM208 final quiz either next Wednesday or next next Tuesday (which is a mindboggling 2 days away from the exams. O_O)

I'm scared. =(

mugging frenzy

I remember very clearly how I was taught to study when I was in an Indonesian school. The teachers will all write their notes numerically on the blackboard, and then the students will all diligently copy down whatever's on the board, number by number. The lessons will just be in silence. The teachers will talk occasionally, but most of the time just plain copying. Then, the examinations will come and we are required to memorise everything on our notebook and the exams will be tested according to whatever we have copied. Hence, in Indonesia at that time, it's not a matter of who is failing and who is passing; it's a matter of who will get full marks for that paper.

Competition was really tough.

I remember I used to have this enemy in primary 2 called Samantha or something (Yes, Indons have their Western moments too) and we used to be really competitive, especially during exams. Both of us were always vying for that number 1 spot. Moreover, I had a grand-aunt who was teaching in the same school and so I was expected to be number one. Well, I did but there was one time that I was loser-ish number 2 and I cried like a mad dog. She was boasting around of how she finally beat me.

Also, I remember how other teachers treated me. You'd think that I'd get special privileges because I had a family member teaching in the same school (I think my grand-aunt was HOD or something), you'd think wrong. I was under scrutiny since primary 1. If I get 98 out of 100, my teacher will tell my grand-aunt and I would be expected to answer on how I lost that 2 marks when I get home. Life is very much terrifying when I was in school.

I had tuitions too. Because I was living with my grandparents and they are busy with their work, I was sent to daycare. In Singapore terms - daycare. In my terms - to stay with another teacher in her house with her kids and then get tuition from her. Life was definitely miserable because she was very strict. Even if my penmanship had a 0.5cm deviation, I would get hit on the palm using a wooden ruler.

Then I grew up (meaning went to Primary 3) and my grandparents moved to a bigger house, which meant that I no longer have to live with that teacher (halelujah!). That was when life was very much sweeter. I was in the same class with this retainee guy, and I guess I liked him. HAHA. As a kid, liking someone is HUGE. And I was daring enough to write a "love" letter to him. And guess what, he replied and this went on till I moved to Singapore. The letters are all gone, because I was afraid my grandma would find out and so I threw every single one after reading them, but I still remember his phone number, till now! Puppy love definitely the sweetest because you are so innocent and just writing love letters already make you glee from ear to ear. =)

So now you still think Singapore education system is tough?

I love this photo ALOT. 喜怒哀乐 encapsulated into one photo! HAHA. And I really like my hair length in this photo. I shall grow it longer and longer and cut the back part shorter and shorter.

We finished 150 little dragon buns. CRAZY FULL. I don't think I can eat another xlb in 3 months.

SPECIAL HAUL POST

I completely forgot about writing reviews and stuff this past week. Too many good things happening at a go. So much so that I refuse to upload anything into the laptop. HAHA. Hence, i shall write a post solely based on materialistic qualms and newest addition to the family!

I dyed my hair again last week because those darned black roots were showing. I hate it when the black roots show up; they look ahlian. When the entire hair is dyed perfectly in ONE colour, it looks proper and "expensive" like those done in proper salons. My hair is real short, hence dying it is no biggie for me.

The super ugly roots. EW.

I got this hair dye from the last L'oreal Beauty Sale. I must mention again that I'm really happy with the fact that the sale carried lighter colours. Previously it was dark brown and what-nots. I have another one in a noticeable lighter colour. That will be for June!

That stupid wang told me that my hair looked dyed because it looked damaged. BREAK MY HEART CAN! HAHAHA. Lucky I have the treatment. So for this long weekend, I shall do intense treatment to my hair, to make it silky and smooth again! =)

I bought a lot of cosmetics last week. No, I should rephrase that. I received a lot of cosmetics last week. It was all accumulated and the things just arrive all in one go! =)

I was meeting up with the maid of an online seller and the seller is so cute. This is the piece of paper that she gave her maid in order for her maid to recognise me.

I told her I will be wearing white shirt and denim shorts, and that I have short brown hair. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Generally very smooth pigmentation and I noticed that they have changed the packaging of the lipstick. Some colours like Harmonica and Peach Love appear too frosty for my liking, but I think I can still work it. Sierra is a current favourite. I have no idea brownish-orange lipstick look good on me! =)

I also got 3 more edm items. I got another Olive Medium, which was why I was planning to sell my other one. The seller was selling it at 3 for 11 bucks, so might as well just take everything right? The concealer is AWESOME! Good for lazy days.

And the blush is subtle and glittery, but very buildable. Gave me quite a nice pinkish tone after 4 swipes. I like how it can become a highlighter but then after some more swiping, the colour is more obvious and the glitters somehow get muted away. NICE.

3 Daiso blushers for $4.50! OHMYGOSH I'M IN LOVE WITH THE LAST COLOUR!!!!!! Cannot take it. Can use as both a contour powder and a blusher. So cheap yet so pigmented!!! I don't know their names because they are all written in Japanese. HAHA.

Just handed in my 202 elearning stuff.

Just completed my part of 202 project.

Just replied back to dunno who regarding my concentration.

Life's good.

I have decided on Broadcast purely for strategic reasons. I am more interested in Communication Research BUT I want to take COM225 - Image and Sound Production, so by concentrating in broadcast, I have priority to take 225. Next semester, I will change concentration to Comm Research. Also I need to see what my grade for 208 is. HAHA.

Let's not about Julie because she won't be in CS next semester.

It's so weird that I used to badmouth Marko when he first started lecturing, and now I think he's a fantastic lecturer.

Just because of that, I really want to take COM257 - Psychology and Communication. But, I know I will be shot in the head because of that dreaded Psychology part. Why can't Marko get a degree in Theatre Studies or dunno what? Why must he get a degree in Psychology?!?! AIYOYO.

HOW LIKE THAT!

As of now, confirm plus chop will take these (provided will not clash with each other lar):

• COM207 - Communication History and Theories (blergh)
• COM225 - Image and Sound Production
• Forensic Science

I have a question though, can I take my minor modules overseas? If can right, I will take another COM module on top of the above choices lor. GAH.
