hectic week indeed

I have quit choir for the reason of focusing more on the academics. I am in the midst of intelligent cuckoos who can score without even studying. Hence the need to mug, even so with the examinations looming. Now that I have no CCA and no hall life, I hope I will get an ad-hoc committee position to make my life more balanced. All work and no play will make me jump down building.

new taiwan drama!

I have something to look forward to every week. 

I thought it was just another cheesy taiwan drama, especially because Van Ness (yes that's how we are supposed to spell it, according to him) is starring in it. 

I just finished watching the debut and all I can say is, I'm hooked.

Totaling up to just 13 episodes, this is a breath of fresh air from all those draggy shit that I have been watching. Fast-paced and exciting, mild and touching, creepy and weird (hint: stepdad in the show is a pervert!) all at the same time. A definite must-watch for Taiwan drama skeptics. 

Plus points: Ady An is really pretty, Van Ness has grown manly, Tiffany hsu (Ethan Ruan's girlfriend) is hot and the guy acting as Hua Tuo Ye is damn nice. =) 

WHY ONLY 13 EPISODES!!!!!!! Dammit. Tomorrow's the 2nd episode. CAN'T WAIT!! =)

PS: I twitted about how I missed having someone sending me home everyday. I cannot play till damn late anymore le!!! =(

I didn't have dinner today so there's World War 3 inside those organs. Fortunately enough I have chips freshly-bought from Nanyang Mart. 

Which brings me to my point,

NANYANG MART IS FREAKING AWESOME!

Rows and rows and rows of instant noodles. Pringles in every possible flavour, or even some that I have never seen before. London Choco Roll in so many flavours. Chips that are so huge but so cheap. NTU adapters. NTU mugs. NTU shirts. NTU EVERYTHING! I love Nanyang Mart. Hall 2 peeps are so damn lucky. They even have a salon! I'm going to pierce Rachel with my jealous glare the next time I see her. 

Today was definitely not a good day for me.

1. I went to school in a super market-going attire. Just by that you know that I wasn't in a good mood already.
2. PMS! Crap.
3. Then the real thing came and I was curling on my bed to curb the pain.
4. Choir did not help at all.
5. I am so bloody fat.

When I'm having a bad day, I will always say I AM BLOODY FAT. 

Brain's not working. Rolls of fat increasing alarmingly. Pimples growing on a super fertilised skin. I am so screwed. My market price will plummet down for sure. I have a sad life lor. 

I have Choir Camp from 9 - 11 december and I'm the group facilitator. And very coincidentally, Gerald (Music IC, and in charge of facilitators) is from AJC and he got taught by MOHAN as well! HAHAHAHAHA. So Choir should be more fun then, but Saturday I have to be in school for choir for 9 freaking hours. Boo to that.

I shall go bathe. This is a super artificial and of-no-value blog post. I just feel like ranting.

PAPARAZZI 2009 ROCKS!! =)

It was rather salient. Kay Wee despite this being his "virgin attempt" at acting was nothing but outstanding! A bit creepy. This is the first time I heard him say so many words.  =)

THE CONCRETE SKIES is rather complex. But it's goodie goodie good. Eldon was very entertaining when he tried to swallow his urge to laugh WITH the audience. But it all worked out because all of them were supposed to be mental patients (or mental doctor with an insane past), so laughing in the midst of garang actions should be normal! 

The worst thing about this is ..... my blistered feet. =(

Thank you papa loh for driving us girls home. If not for you, I would have just walked barefoot home.

sorry for the absence.

I was sleeping and studying the whole day, well mostly sleeping, so I had to sacrifice the productive blog posts and entertain my readers with videos and more videos. 

This recess week has been a complete torture so far, with few breaths of ecstasy when I'm out having fun. Even then, somewhere at the back of head, there will be a continuous echo telling me to screw myself and get home for the assignments.

It was so bad until I had a mental breakdown. For the first time in my life I was questioning the path that I have chosen for myself. For the first time in my life I contemplated the idea of death. It was that bad. I cried myself to slumber, and I woke up with a horrible pair of panda eyes. I vow never to cry to sleep again. 

I sobered up this morning and I started doing my assignments at my own pace and without stressing myself too much. That worked. I am on my third assignment now. Another reason for elation will be that tomorrow there will be no choir practice! One more day for assignments. Should I go back to hall? 

Let's go back to more light-hearted subjects. =)

I didn't know being a Watsons' member means getting free GLOW magazines. I have yet to start reading, but the $5 off voucher given already made me happy. I need to go Watsons soon! 

I said in one of my previous post that I would be reviewing some masks. I have applied masks religiously for the past 4 nights to try out new stuff and to regenerate my sadly-ignored skin.

These reviews are in order of merit, with my favourite coming up first!

ETUDE HOUSE O2 White Mask Sheet

Given to me by Stufu for my birthday.

THIS IS AMAZING STUFF! I THINK IT'S MY HOLY GRAIL MASK NOW!

Reasons why I like it so much:

1. When you take out the mask from the packet, it is not dripping with the essence. I hate it when I open one, and then liquid will drip all over. MESSY!
   
2. The fragrance is very subtle. Not those over-powering ones that make you dizzy.
3. It sticks very easily to the skin. I was standing around for a whole 10 minutes, and it didn't slide off my face. LOVE!
4. You know how sometimes masks are designed more for people with broader faces and hence when you try to layer excess sheet, bubbles will form, and then you have to painstakingly press them down every now and then? This sticks like mud musk. I am so impressed. It took me less than 30 seconds to put it on. =)
5. I didn't research on the promises that this mask has. I took it down after 40 minutes and my skin tone was even. Before applying, I had patches of red here and there because I didn't take good care of my skin during term time. After applying, my skin was all the same colour. Even blemishes look less prominent. WOW.

Reason why I am NAY-ing it:

1. It's not sold in ETUDE HOUSE! It's more of a freebie if you purchase stuff. PEOPLE, PLEASE TELL ME WHERE TO GET THIS!!!

Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Skin-clarifying Mud Mask

S$2.95 from Watsons, bought it because buying it entitles 20 additional points. LOL.

PROS:

1. The smell is to die for. Subtle yet very therapeutic.
2. The mud is PINK! lol. what a reason right? =/
3. It works really well especially if you have enlarged pores. However, one application a week is not enough. 3 times a week will be good enough to see optimal results. 

CONS:

1. It tingles so bad. I accidentally applied some to my lips and I was lazy to take it off. After 5 minutes my whole face was burning and my lips feel as if I applied a lip-plumper. On the bright side, you know it's working right? 

Wo De Mei Li Re Ji Strawberry Yoghurt Mask

Given to me by Lily!! 

The only thing I liked was its smell. Much nicer than the chemical Laneige Strawberry Yoghurt Peeling Mask. This smells as if it can be eaten. But only the smell was nice. The rest was BLAH! Dripping (NO), slides off skin (NO NO), when I lie down, liquid flowed to my neck (NO NO NO NO!!!).

Nothing good. Horrible smell as well. URGH. Will never use this ever again. Thank goodness I had only one.
